Stop blaming Melo, Woodson, D'Antoni, whoever...

The problem starts and ends with one Jim Dolan.

While he's there the Knicks will be about looking good, not being good.

Chandler has been playing great

Amar'e hasnt been able to get going, His shot is off, he looks slow and the short season looks to have stuffed him.

Carmelo needs to be more explosive with the ball, contested jumpers wont win the games and is not what the knicks need.

Superstars on an alright team.

Why try to trade for D.Will when you already have Lin and Davis? If you were seriously gonna entertain trading Melo, surely it would be for someone else, probably not a PG. Not that it matters, they wont trade Melo.

Because D-Will would be great with Amar'e and Chandler.

The reason they are 2-8 since Melo's and Amare's return is because those 2 are pathetic at playing defense, they are all about offense and Melo is just a scorer, nothing else. It was no coincidence that when Lin came into the picture, they went 7-0. They played good D, they still had a strong offense and played as a team. Since Melo has come back, he has taken over the show again, and Lin is suffering from it and so are the Knicks.

The only person who can turn the Knicks into a championship winning team is the one and only Phil Jackson.

that.

melo needs the ball in his hands, whereas stat doesnt. he can feed off a gun PG.

no, they reason they went 2-8 was because they finally didnt have a weak schedule. They got wins against avg teams or teams who were coming off back to backs etc. They finally came up against quality sides and got smacked. This had nothing to do with Melo. Amare's return? ummm he didnt go anywhere. He missed like 1 or 2 games. The D over the past 3 games has been sensational and Melo and Amare have contributed to that.
This Melo bullshit has to stop

As a Dockers member I can say Pricey that you are sounding like a Dockers supporter.

Basically until the Knicks do something with their payroll (notoriously overspending for little return in the W-L column) the criticism will still keep on coming.

Look i have no problem with the franchise getting smashed cause they deserve it. They have been a joke for pretty much 2 decades now. I wont however cop the Melo crap.

We have always over paid and it hurt us for a long time.

Here's a quick timeline

Around 2000 - Jim Dolan is promoted to head MSG.

By '03 - '04 the Larry Johnson/Sprewell/Houston core he inherited had dissipated and Dolan ushers in the "Starbury" era. A strange infatuation with Isiah Thomas begins.

In '06, Dolan was named as a defendant in a successful sexual harrassment lawsuit filed by an ex-MSG employee.

By '07 - '08, an Eddy Curry and a Steve Francis later, the Knicks are officially a joke and Dolan looks to a revered, long-time exec in Donnie Walsh to rebuild his franchise.

In 2011, in the middle of this rebuilding process, Dolan intervenes and undermines Walsh in the 'Melo trade. Walsh is forced out 6 months later.

Exact dates might be fuzzy but you get the point. It's not a coincidence.

'Melo couldn't fit into D'Antoni system. That's about all I blame Melo for. Everything else wrong with the Knicks comes from the top.
