People who take videos of themselves doing something kind.
True altruism appears deceased.
But what's the point in doing it if you can't tell everyone?

You know those people who go out and spend half their time, nay, three quarters of their time, taking photos rather than actually, you know, conversing and socialising?

Urgh.

Or filming a s**t concert or event when the video/audio is always terrible and you'll never listen to it again? Just enjoy the ******* experience and create a memory that you will love, not to tell everyone instantly where you are.

It's been a week from hell. Actually hell is probably a bit cooler. 44 predicted for tomorrow:eek:

The power companies would be loving this, that's about it.

What we used to use when i was working in Northern Vic and only had air con in the bedroom.

1) water tank or irrigation channel.
2) pump and hose
3) sprinkler
4) plastic chair.

Of course when the pool went in, well , that solved many issues.

What's shitting me at the moment?

The proliferation of dunderheads who scream 'PC' at the drop of a hat.

I get how it's come about, I really do. There is a sub-set of people, and internet has made this much worse, of people who seemingly live to be outraged. To get on their high horse and be holier than thou.

I get that, and I have little time for the truly sanctimonious types.

However, there's now developed a significant counter subset who won't allow anyone to express a genuine annoyance at something- not borne of the need to be sanctimonious but because they truly dislike or abhor something that's occurred- without accusing them of being politically correct.

And it shits me because they help keep the line blurred and help excuse, if not actively promulgate themselves, bigotry and discrimination and sexism and racism and every other little blight on society.

Agree no one can say anything about anything without offending . No real surprise that the growth of social media has seen the growth in worthless opinions on everything.

It's offending upon offending upon offending.

People overreact initially, and then in response people who react to the overreaction go too far in trying to downplay something.

Shits me to tears.

The seemingly absolute need to have either 1. A say or 2. The final say, just fuels the thing (whether that be a specific incident of racism, sexism, abuse, or just something that was funny and then becomes overdone) that first occurs. Until what maybe started out as a debate that was needed to inform or enlighten certain groups turns into a one up game of who can get the last shot in.

Yes and I am guilty of that sometimes. Last night I promised I'd post once on the matter in a thread elsewhere.

Nek minnit, seven posts in.

Sometimes you just have to let go and remind yourself that you're not battling for sheep stations. It's just the freakin' internet. It doesn't matter.

Oh for sure we are all guilty of it, I'm by no means excusing myself of doing that exact same thing. I can point to numerous times in the past few months ive done that very thing.

The lesson stands and you nailed it, what I think, what you think don't really matter in the big scheme of things, we shouldn't cling to an argument like it does.

People who do not understand that their $15 dollar courier job will not be the only delivery the driver is doing so you may have to wait a bit to get it.
Am yet to find a driver who will drive across town for $15 dollars....

The rates are bad enough in transport without these clowns bashing your ear all day.
