I've cracked 2048. Debating whether I can be arsed going for 4096.

Let's be honest, you're going for 4096...

if you are capable of getting to 2048 repeatedly you'll get there. If you got to 2048 once and don't know you did it, well focus on 2048. Looking at your grab above, it seems you can do it. Once you get past 1024 though, it's really hard to make up your mistakes. if you accidentally move left/right when the bottom row isn't full and move your big tile to the middle instead of it staying in the corner...

My main issue is not paying attention and getting into a situation where I have to press up, like in the pic above.

Why am I doing this to myself, I have s**t to do!

The books are worse.

I'll freely admit that the first is a classic, and he clings on for a couple more, but it's all downhill from there. Everyone can see the big twist coming, but he promised, what, 7 books, but only had enough ideas for maybe 5. The last couple have been ****ing appalling value-packs of toilet paper, literally thousands of pages of people just walking. It's LOTR on ketamine.
