I followed them from their first year. I don't jump on the successful bandwagons like a lot of people do when selecting teams.

Nobody in general. Just notice it with o/seas league like NFL, NBA and EPL etc. People just jump on the successful teams.

One of my favourite things to do is when someone tells me they follow man utd I ask them who was the manager before Sir Alex Ferguson. 95% of the time I get a blank stare back at me even though the person who is the answer is actually very well known manager in english football.

As Daggles said, a lot of people were not even born when Fergie took over so unless someone is 40+ at least, they would have never been old enough to see another manager.

I like the nickname Jaguars more than Panthers.

I only had two choices to choose from in 95.

I did follow NFL a few years before that but I tended to just follow certain players and not a team. The new teams coming in seemed the right time to make a choice.

Started watching with SBXVIII. Ben Graham. Watched the Steelers and that 2 minute drill.

From there, I flirted with the game for a year or two. Watched most of the 2009 playoffs but neither the Steelers nor the Saints appealed.

Started to buy into the Seahawks in 2010 as I took to the NFC West generally...because they were bad.

The seller was the Beastquake game. Saints lead, Seahawks come back and storm ahead, but it feels like a matter of time...then, Beast.

Basically there was a porno mag my friend and I found under his dad's bed. There was a spread with girls dressed in black jerseys like the Raiders, tho didn't know at the time.

Got into the game, asked my dad to take me to a game, he was an oilers man, by chance it was a raiders game. So I thought that was meant to be, especially their style of play and enjoyed being contrary

He was a Broncos fan because he saw a picture of a Broncos player in a book at school and the colours looked red, blue and white (Bulldogs colours who he supports) and so he was a Broncos fan because of that

I saw the green and gold of the Packers and associated it with Australia when I was about 6. Gone for them ever since.
