Would Iove to see reserve days for all games and the old VFL final 5 brought in.

Even tho im English and we should win it, 40 days of cricket to just go to 2 KO semis seems a bit silly.

Carey is no hope for the ashes, as good as he batted he cost us a lot with the gloves, he completes that stumping we might keep sa to a reasonable total, he made runs that game but less than what he cost us.
This is true, but Paine costs us a lot with his permanently mediocre batting. Seems completely incapable of batting big, which is a worry for a modern wicket keeper.

Mitch Marsh for Stoinis & Head for Maxwell next match. Those duds can both go back and stink up the Melbourne Stars and other T20 leagues & slap around domestic bowlers as far as I am concerned.

Wow both semi Finals have had opposite results than most thought.

Totally out played tonight l thought Aussies would win the cup.
But the middle order apart of Carey been poor for most part.
I thought they would click once the whips were cracking.

Not alot of matches where Warner Finch and Smith have been great in the same game.
Starc awesome.

Funny thing that NZ make the final ( take nothing away from from them).
But apart from the opening 3--4 games they're opening bats avg something like a 11 runs.

Finch Warner would be right up there in opening partnerships.

Funny game cricket anything can happen.

They lost to a better side, they just aren't a great side it's not a disgrace it's just reality.
Maybe so but when 2 of the (so called) best bowlers on the planet fold like a cheap suit questions need to be asked, both are vastly overrated on the world stage, Cummins did nothing, NOTHING!! didn't even look like taking a wicket, didn't change his approach either, just short rubbish all the way through as if he was bowling at Bigbash players, he doesn't play Ashes for mine, he lost that right.

These things do go in cycles and, unfortunately, our time as the top dog is over. It has nevertheless yielded 5 World Cups. Put simply, you can't win them all. All you can do is work hard, have the right systems and coaching in place and hope that a new crop emerges to restore former glories. Eng/NZ can have their long overdue moment of glory on Sunday and we just have to be big enough to congratulate the winner. Nevertheless we have still beaten both of them in this tournament so we're not a million miles away. So, let the pain and disappointment subside and remember we've won the World Cup far more times than anyone else and beaten every test team in more series than they have beaten us. If that isn't something to shout about then I don't know what is. They've won the battle - congratulations - but we will be back.

Finch's speech was like he was happy he won a participation award for being in the world cup. We make a semi final of a world cup you need to do everything possible to win it. You dont play handscomb who soils himself against pace bowling when you already have maxwell and Stoiness who need to wear nappys when they bat. You dont choose to bat on a wicket that has been covered for three days and will have moisture in the pitch knowing when it dries out will be easier to bat on. You make a 1st ball duck when it counts. Time to be honest apologise for embarrassing Australian cricket and take the gnome who pretends to be a coach with you. Maxwell is all the characters of the wizard of oz in one no heart, no brain and no courage. Stoiness is the same but without the talent.

Side had too many holes in it. Stonis and Maxwell didn't fire, whuch hurts the top 6. Finch and Warner at the top masked deficiencies of our batting. Cummins has always been a great Test bowler but never a good ODI bowler. Nothing has changed there. We missed J.Richardson badly.

Cummins has never been a good ODI player. Great Test cricketer but very ordinary in the short form game.

Anyone who says he doesn't play Ashes due to ODI form simply has no clue about cricket. The single most idiotic statement I've read for a long time.
