WWE TV Tapings/PPV's/House shows in Australia

Also I don't think it would be impossible to do a PPV here live either.

If they held it on a long weekend they could do it on the Monday after November 2nd when the American daylight savings ends and ours have started already which would make it a 12 P.M start which isn't that early considering people go to the footy when the games starts at 1.10 P.M.

Only problem is that the only Public Holiday that would be acceptable before WM season would be the Melbourne Cup which is only a Victorian Public Holiday anyway.

Could work.

This year's RR would have been perfect to have it LIVE here in the morning. Australia Day! :D

Public holiday PPV still overlooks needing to tape Raw a few hours later.
Then how about a PPV on Sunday morning (Saturday night in the US) have RAW on Monday Night ready to show to the Americans on tape delay on Tuesday morning (Monday night, USA time).

I went to Global Warning in 2002 and it was just a one of show in Melbourne that was taped and then released on DVD. The DVD cut out about three matches plus they added commentary over the top it. There where no commentators ringside and Taz wasn't even on the trip. Was definitely not on PPV.

This. It's like Rebellion and Insurrection that were UK PPV's only.

Nope it didn't air anywhere besides being released on DVD later in the year. Was just a house show like the tours they do now but in a much bigger stadium because it was the first show in over 20 years.

If small arenas don't sell out for once a year house shows, the inflated prices that would come with a taping (consider the extreme increase in logistics required) isn't going to sell any more tickets. Can't see any way in which doing a taping here would be good for WWE.

They already charge prices Americans pay to attend PPVs. The arenas they use here are similar in capacity to the basketball/hockey arenas they use in America for TV.

No incentive to go the extra effort here if people keep paying premium for house shows.

Wasn't it a relative of Rove running it?
