Yes this agree. Maybe pinch 1 or 2 more if we're lucky but unlikely. I'll think we'll be more competitive and "less putrid" than we were in 2014. For about 8-10 rounds we were putrid. That came from a lot of injuries to our mid experienced tier of Armitage, Geary, Gilbert, (even Hickey), with Joey and Jack obviously playing injured and not at their 2013 best.

When you discuss this, I like to think about who will improve from 2014 and in our case who will get worse which will mean we will leapfrog them on the ladder. So who? Melbourne - no unlikely, I don't think so. They recruited well and have Hogan coming back. Brisbane? Nope not with their recruiting of beams etc. GWS - nope. Another year in those kids, they'll start to impact this year and will move up the ladder some places.

The only two who may be worse are Carlton and the Doggies I guess.

Interested by your answer here, O wise one. My main reason is because he's a rookie. That'd mean he'd have to be upgraded. So, either he'll be upgraded at the middle the year, and play more games in that half-year than somebody like McKenzie does in the whole thing; or he'll be upgraded because of an LTI, but we have no indication of there being one at this point. The other issue with this prediction is Saad, given that most would expect him to be the first cab off the rack from the rookie-list.

Not a lot of reasoning - just think that taller players take longer, Lonie's had a setback so it's between McKenzie and Sinclair. McKenzie has a lot going for him but is still underweight, Sinclair has already played against men. There is a real chance that he will force the selectors to give him a go, I think if he is given 4 matches he will show enough to be at the forefront of the selectors minds when we have injuries.

Jack Sinclair is going to be a centre square specialist, mark my words! Once he adjusts to the speed of AFL footy and develops a rapport with his fellow midfielders, Jacks ability to find the ball and kick off both feet will make him the Saints clearance specialist for years to come.
