Your starting 22 for the finals...

This worries me. Not enough change from last year for mine. Playing basically the same lineup suggests we're playing 2014 footy in 2015. Concerned how that will stack up particularly against the new crop of attacking teams- WCE, Dogs, etc.
We are the cream of the crop of attacking teams. I would be more worried about playing Richmond in this year finals who play keepings off and deny us the ball.

There is no way Simpkin is ahead of Hartung in the pecking order. Ceglar is quickly running out of time to play finals.

I knew someone would mention this but in a final i like the look Simpkin. With Spangher and McEvoy as the other emergencies i want a guy that can play inside and outside mid and cover a few roles as he is the only non-KPP in the emergencies.

I don't trust McEvoy in the ruck. Hale can take strong marks and compete in the ruck. Cegs is the best tap ruckman, we can't let the oppositions mid get clean use out of the middle.

If he (Simpkin) was in the frame he would have been given a game at some point.

Doubt we will learn much this week and hopefully we don't get any more injuries.

We've had a whole year to opine on how we want our first final team to look.

Here's mine:

FF: Hale - Roughie - Puopolo
HF: Breust - Gunston - Rioli
Ce: Hill - Hodge - Smith
HB: Birchall - Frawley - Stratton
FB: Burgoyne - Lake - Gibson

Ru: McEvoy
RR: Lewis
Ro: Mitchell

I/C: Shiels, Langford, Hartung + Suckling

Unlucky: Cegs (inj), Schoey (Frawley can go forward), Duryea (would rather the extra mid).

Others?
my only issue with this lineup is that you have the team sheet upside down.

FB Stratton Lake Gibson
HB Birchall Frawley Hodge
C Smith Mitchell Lewis
HF Rioli Roughead Breust
FF Hale Gunston Puopolo
F McEvoy Shiels Burgoyne
Int: Hill, Langford, Duryea sub: Suckling

Emergency: Hartung, Spangher, Ceglar

No more Schoenmakers, he is not good as forward, does do enough, and don't understand why people keep having faith in him.
Hale has more experience than Ceglar and is a better forward.
McEvoy offers a big body that Ceglar doesn't have.
