WEST COAST                  4.4    7.10   12.15     17.18 (120)
NORTH MELBOURNE   4.0     7.2      12.2     15.5 (95)

An injury-ravaged West Coast Eagles have delivered a triumphant 25-point win against a spirited North Melbourne.

Scott Selwood was exceptional yet again for the Eagles, collecting 35 disposals, nine clearances and a goal in a dominant display.

The Eagles faced an early setback when star ruckman Nic Naitanui was a late change, giving North Melbourne even more of a sniff.

North Melbourne were quick to demonstrate their intent, with Drew Petrie kicking the first goal of the game. West Coast managed to respond with three of the next four goals before North Melbourne kicked two late goals to take the lead.

A late goal to West Coast however saw the Eagles take a four-point lead into quarter time.

North Melbourne continued their push at West Coast in the second, getting the first goal through Jamie MacMillan. A spectacular running goal to Daniel Wells saw North reach a seven-point lead, however then the Eagles started to click into gear.

After several misses, the Eagles were finally able to convert before finishing the quarter strongly to claim an eight-point lead at half time.

After the major break, North were once again very quick out of the blocks, with Harvey kicking the first goal of the quarter to bring the margin back to under a kick.

West Coast however, continued to have the answers when it counted, preventing North form getting a serious run on, as the Eagles took a 13-point lead in to the final change.

North’s run of starting the quarters quickly ended with the Eagles taking the ascendancy in the last as North struggled to hold on.

West Coast eventually extended the lead out beyond 30 points before putting the cue in the rack. North Melbourne rallied briefly, but the Eagles held on for a comfortable 25-point win.

West Coast next week will come up against Essendon in a blockbuster Saturday night game at Etihad Stadium, whilst North Melbourne will face the Western Bulldogs also at Etihad on the Sunday.
