Saturday night’s brawl in the stands of GMHBA stadium has reignited the conversation about segregating crowds by team alliance at AFL games. Kardinia Park Stadium Trust chief executive Michael Brown says that though he wouldn’t prefer it segregating crowds like done at in the EPL is an option available. AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan though has come out strongly on Triple M stating “Segregation is not happening”.

The brawl is just one in a spate of ugly crowd incidents that have happened this year including two separate incidents at Etihad stadium that involved up to ten supporters from different clubs.
