The Anzac Day Eve game looms large as a crucial fixture for both clubs. It has been a rough start to the year for Richmond. They met each other in the 1940 Grand Final where the Tigers had beaten the Dees previously in the semi-final but were comprehensively beaten in the rematch. This was the first and last time they’ve played in a granny together.
