The 2022 T20 World Cup gets underway in Australia on Sunday.
Australia hope to defend the cup we won in the UAE in 2021. Can Australia become the second team to win two T20 World Cup titles? Many think England has as good a chance as the Aussies.
What’s our edge? Australia has bigger cricket fields than most other fields around the world, so percentage of runs from 4 and sixes can be lower. Aussies have more experience on these types of fields, which some believe will give them an advantage in the World Cup.
The T20 World Cup starts on Sunday at 3PM AEDT with Sri Lanka playing Namibia at Kardinia Park, Victoria.
Aussies will have to wait until 22nd October for their first look at our team, when we play New Zealand at the SCG at 6PM AEDT.
