To quick is right one of the rumba players just said on the murray thread that they couldn't match Tat's offer for Sean so he has left Rumba for Tat.

Re: Official GVFL thread

It's not a bad place, not that exciting, but good uni courses and jobs.

I'm going to have a look at a couple of Ainslie matches. I heard that the incentives for the Rochy boys to come up was massive; jobs, signing bonuses, help with finding accommodation (which is bloody hard!), as well as pretty nice match payments. I think they will struggle this year, but it will be interesting to see how the boys fare.

The biggest surprise is how much the locals play footy. At my local oval, there are teams training all the time, ranging from juniors to seniors.

Are you still in the EFL? You'll come up against a fair few Rochy players when you play Blackburn.

Nah mate jumped ship. Playing in the EDFL 2nd Divvy this year had a shocking year with injury last year, so hoping just to get back to having a kick every week and see how we go.

Re: Official GVFL thread

WARATAHS hardman Lincoln Withers will have to fight twice as hard at the tribunal this week to secure his place in Saturday's NTFL Grand Final against St Marys.
Withers, reported by field umpires for for kicking Districts' Clint Kelly in the third quarter of Tahs' two-point preliminary final win at the weekend, was last night told he will also have to answer for a first-quarter tackle on Crocs' midfielder Antal Reti.

Withers was cited by the match review committee for a Grade 1 offence on Reti and by match umpires for kicking Clint Kelly. Combined, the tenacious Tah has been offered a prescribed penalty of five weeks.

Not too good for Ky if he does get weeks. Got off last week because of his good record. Not too sure how sympathetic the tribunal will be this week

You would not be overly confident going up on a kicking charge would you?Apart from biting or slipping the finger in a la Hopoate style not much worst you can be caught doing on the footy field?

You would have to see what all the circumS were. But if some one went the digit on ya choccy star fish, it's a free hit, unless your from Rochie. Then it's an exchange of phone numbers. Hey Brad.:thumbsu:

This is interesting. I am wondering if these 2 have recent history as Clint Kelly is from Tyntynder in the Central Murray Footy League and would have played against Withers last season when he was playing with Balaranald

Re: Official GVFL thread

Saad would be missed by any club BUT he has not gone as yet, Seymour are still signing players, they will not struggle this season Saad or no Saad

Yeah I have heard that.

Are they traditionally one of the stronger clubs in the league?

No not realy up and down over the years, the past 4 years have seen some excellent managment good player and coaching decisions, and a very hardworking committee, the football club have done the right thing by the town, the players are never causing trouble they are well respected by the community, it is hard to fault the whole set up, proberably a good template for success.:thumbsu:;)

Patty Rattray is alrite. Played for Avenel for a while at centre half forward and then went across to Seymour i believe. Told me he didn't get a great deal of time on the ground. One game got only one kick and that was when he was rucking and there was an infringement in the centre and he recieved the free kick. Played bendigo Bomber reserves the last year or so. Good height, not really that solid at all but can jump and is fairly handy in the air with his marking ability and that height. Not real sure on Shane Cockrell.
