Round 8 Trades

Hey guys,

Backline currently consists of:

Shaw, Osborne, Mcleod, C Bolton, Birchall, Gilbee, C Cornes (Brown, Pfeiffer).

With $16,500 in the bank and the amount of trades running thin.... is it it worth upgrading Bolton or Gilbee to Milburn? Or would that be classified as a sideways trade? Any thoughts would be helpful - thanks in advance.

Pretty sideways to me...

Bolton has been ok and Gilbee has yet to hit his straps...

What do people think Geary's chances are of playing for Saint Kilda again.

I am tempted to trade Geary down for Browne but feels its a little to wasteful for only $50kish.

Also how many games do people see Browne getting in the future?

its not wasteful trade if you are trading a reserve that isnt playing to one that is and making 50K in the process.

Leaves me with almost 300K, will look to upgrade at least 3 of N.Jones/Rioli/Palmer/Boak/Bones/Mattner to guns. Satisfied with the rest.

but im not sure on the bradshaw trade yet, just wondering if i should trade houli or another rookie for another rookie....

THIS WEEK
Ellis (Got to go) ---> Bock (Very reliable in our backline. They all love him; hardely fumbles, runs hard oh and is strong)
Bird (Young'un who is perfect for a downgrade to make some $$) ---> Browne (First match I saw him against the Crows I thought 'If he keeps his spot..he's gotta spot in my DT)

NEXT WEEK
Palmer/Houli (Would rather Palmer but both of them have been great) ---> Swan (Couldn't afford him at the start of the year but was one that I wanted)

Mattner (All the best fella but not a DT pick..wouldn't get him again) ---> Gilbee (Ill make some $$ with this trade so I find that great. With Malcheski also returning...does Mattner mantain his spot? I would think so but wouldnt be so much in it)

This would make my centre perfect. No more trades there. Hopefully I will have Houli (Trade Palmer) on my bench so I wont be too unhappy if someone gets suspended/injured for a week or so.

My backline would be fine IMO...Wonna might peak so might have to upgrade him later.

To my forward line..really letting me down. Hardley get a 100+ down there.

Does everyone think Fevs a keeper?

I think so but he is a bit inconsistant..

When Rioli and Gamble make some $$ might be able to get Franklin and Chapman (Hopefully!! Will have to do some downgrading in between to get the cash$$)

If Fevola isnt a keeper...I would trade him and get Goodwin

Lol! Anyways, I see no problem with trading Ellis and Bird. Not too sure about Bock though, but hey, risks are part of DT. As for Mattner, trade him ASAP. Has peaked, has a high BE and Malceski returning, it will affect his scores. Oh and Goodwin isnt a forward, which is kinda wierd

Depends is Thompson gets named or not. Wouldnt take the 0 if you dont have to. If he's named, trade Mattner, if not trade Symes and trade Mattner to Chad once he's back.

Whats the go with Riewoldt? Injury list says 2-3 weeks but Ive read that the club physio said its more likely 7 weeks. Anyone got further info on this?
