7 to come (JB, Roo, Cross, Mitchell, Goddard, Gilbee, Wona).

I reckon I'll be pushing sh*t up hill to crack 1900..... My ranking on 11th overall is sunk. By the looks of the thread, I'm at least 150 points off 'the norm' of the BF posters. :(

I reckon you will end up around 2080 Kangas. Gotta be happy with that. I'm laying the blame for my bad week squarely at the feet of Chappy & Gamble, the Birdman, Captn Coxy and MMurphy.
 
1558 with Akermanis, Rioli, Bradshaw and Franklin to come. Hoping to get 400 from them minimum which I don't think I'll have much trouble achieving as Franklin is Captain. :)

Yeah, I'd be very dissapointed and bemused if I didn't get 2000... there's the jinx! Very happy with 1791 at the moment.

Not expecting too much from Wonna and Valenti, but Goddard and Brown should do ok. A lot of the popular mid-range/rookies have been down a little this week, ie. Burton, Tippet, Gamble, Myers, Murphy etc.

Friggin Birdman, Bock, Goodwin, Tippet, Cox all did me in a little tonight. Give me there usual output and im looking at 1400+ with 8 good players to go. Thought I was going to get upwards of 2000-2100+ this week. But that isn't going to happen. Got quite a few high scorers left so hopefully they can get there act together and push towards 1850-1950

Hoping Franklin scores 74 or less... will give me the option of trading Gamble to him next week. Wasn't expecting Gamble to score so low... needed some sort of value from him!
 
Quite a few of the bigger names have misfired so far this round. If you had a handful of these guys in your team (which would respectable enough), you'd be unhappy tonight. Most of these guys would be a welcome addition to my team under normal scoring circumstances.

Just to name a few:

Birdman - 19
McLeod - 26
Bell - 48
McPhee - 48
MMurphy - 54
Juddy - 60
Kelly - 60
King - 64
Bock - 65
Goodwin - 65
K Johnson - 65
Goodes - 66
Kornes - 67

Upsetting isnt it! :eek:

Got Kornes... at least he's the highest scorer of that lot, and it was against Sydney!
 
Not really, other than Kornes and maybe Goodwin, I don't think any of them would be a popular pick with the decent teams.

A lot of teams would have McLeod/Judd/Goodes (big names, not great DTers) but many of those teams wouldn't threaten the leaders. And other players such as Murphy, King, Bock, Burton, Kelly are pretty unique picks.

I think this is a high scoring round.

I dunno, a lot of those guys are very good DTers this year. From my perspective I have Birdman, Goodwin and Bock and they have been great this year.

Although that might mean a handy price drop for some, if people have their eye on them. K.Cornes is the only one of those I have.

Total picks at the start of round 9:

King - 30,327 picks
Bock - 29,415 picks
Burton - 26,503 picks
MMurphy - 17,762 picks
Kelly - 12,761 picks

Hardly makes them unique picks.....

Just had a quick look at the top 11 teams (would have done 10 but wanted to include myself :D. ALL of these 5 players are represented in at least one team - Burton is in 10 of the 11 teams! And why wouldnt he be - before tonight he was avg 95 points a game. 6 of the teams have MMurphy as before tonight he was avg 105.

I reckon that makes them a popular pick with the decent teams and deservedly so. Popular with those with an eye on the prize in my book.

Spot on! You are 11th? Nicely done... Burton in particular was a good pick. Had him since the get go, good bargain. It's my first year of DT this year and I couldn't understand why he was so cheap to begin with!
