Or should i spend all that money and get a Murphy or Didak? I think i may steer clear of Chapman because he can be to injury prone and i have to little trades left or is that just being stupid?

I have $133,300 in the bank.
My original thoughts was to trade Gamble to Chappy but that doesnt work out
I was thinking of downgrading Symes (Cash cow anyone?) making enough money to do this trade and then next week I might be able to upgrade Mattner (To Milburn or someone..) and Palmer (to Swanny)

Ok I've been hurt bad by injuries this year so I've been struggling but no its time to make some big trades...

Houli (who has been on the bench anyway) --> Cotchin
Tippet/Gamble --> Valenti
Leaving me with about 450k

Next week
Proud (if not named) --> Shaw (+90 points/week as I've been copping a zero)

Week after that
Ibbotson --> Bartel (+30-50 points/week)

Any thoughts or better ideas? Should easily improve my team by 100 points each week and give me another captain choice.

J. Drummond - $316,600

I have said this before and i am quite strong in my opinion that nobody should buy drummond. He is injury prone. These are the amount of games he has played over the last 3 years.

2005: 14
2006: 7
2007: 11
2008: Already been injured once!

G. Birchall - 334,400 - 2008 Average: 83

I am a huge fan of birchall he has been a member of my team from the start. He has an average of 83 and has a highest score of 95. Super consistant. He is still young at 20 years of age and will improve throughout the season. He is almost gaurunteed to give you an average of
80-85 this year.

B. Goddard $308,500 - 2008 Average: 75

Obviously coming back from a serious knee injury is a worry. What some people seem to forget is he is still only 22. Was the #1 defender for DT in 06 averaging 97 but this year under Ross Lyon his numbers have taken a fall. He is not being given the freedom to be lose in defence so much any more. Players like Gram and Fisher may well take some of his stats. High risk high reward selection.

S. Fisher 321,700 - 2008 Average - 79

In the absence of Matt Maguire Fisher will play mostly as a key defender this year. For example yesterday he was matched up on Brown. This doesn't seem to effect his scoring too much so he could be a solid option. Goddards return may have a negative effect on his scoring as he averaged 6 more points a game without him last year.

My Conclusion

Low Risk: Birchall

High Risk: Goddard

DO NOT PICK: Drummond

I agree with what you said about Drummond how he is injury proned. But in terms of DT potential he is the best of the lot. Drummo is an absolute gun when fit. Is anyone going to consider malceski when he bottoms out?

Just my opinion but i think stanton is gonna get tagged every game and is not getting or gonna get high scores. I would get rid of him for Ablett. and trade in Browne another time.

or

2. Trade out Gamble to Valenti and then upgrade Bartram to Ablett.
Will give me a midfield of: Ablett Corey Swan K.Johnson Judd Palmer with Cotchin and Browne

Can't decide which one will be of greater benefit. Any help appreciated.
