as for like.. movies: pretty much all the Hayao Miyazaki/Ghibli ones hehe. Don't think I can watch Grave of the Fireflies again - probably the 3rd time I've nearly sprung a tear watching anything..

Evangelion was actually pretty medicore.

It's not exactly a high achievement to be better than Evangelion.

Something like up to 12 episodes?

I watched the lot. A shitty ending too. Annoyed I wasted my time on it.

Death Note is by far the best anime I have seen. A fantastic mix of action and intellect. I have actually written up a possible story line for a third series.

Sad, I know.

I haven't watched many Anime's. I don't understand the plot on most of them and I think the writers must take illegal substances with direction the plot takes on some of the animes.

However, the main series which I liked that come to mind is Avangelion Genesis. The series was entertaing but I have to agree with Tasmaniac that the ending was very poor. Everybody dies and it tries to be over philisophical to the point of just being jibberish. But ignoring the ending I liked the series.

I have watched a few Naruto episodes on YouTube. Lee is funny as when he is fighting drunk.

I hear good things about Death Note so I might watch that someday.

24 episodes, but the ending in the series was forced by the director; End of Evangelion, a movie, was the proper ending.

The original series was crap and I haven't seen Ultimate yet.

I just finished NGE and found it overall a pretty good anime, although you are right in that the ending was shitty, it was a joke. It was the first time an anime ending had me genuinly angry. Thankfully i watched the follow up movie End of Evangelion which had a far better ending than the tv series ending. They are currently releasing a redone version of the series in a series of 4 movies that is said to have new characters, new story elements and a new ending
