You are obviously one of those footy 'experts' who watches plenty of their own team and then makes assumptions about others because they have seen them play once or twice in the last 18 months. When we played you, we lost one quarter out of four, admittedly we had a major brain melt and lost it by a lot, but we've got twice as much talent coming through the ranks as your team who's best player is a 30+ year old. Maybe you should actually pay attention to whats going on behind the scenes at other clubs before you start making gross assumptions about other teams after reading the score in the herald sun.

Theres several teams i don't know a hell of a lot about list wise, so i do the sensible thing when it comes to them. I shut the f___ up!

Well listen to you isnt this a forum that people can place thier thoughts on and share thier view without some cinical watcher picking it to pieces.
Your opening line is "You are obviously one of those footy 'experts' who watches plenty of their own team and then makes assumptions about others because they have seen them play once or twice in the last 18 months." Now that is a huge assumption in it's self which makes you a hypocrite as you acuse him of making assumptions.
Please let people have an opinion and do the sensible thing and shut the f--kup
Keep up the good work richo i enjoy your posts.

1. West Coast - Jack Watts
2. Melbourne - Nicholas Naitanui
3. Fremantle - Daniel Rich
4. Port Adelaide - Hamish Hartlett
5. Richmond - Shaun Mckernan
6. Essendon - Michael Hurley
7. Carlton - Chris Yarran
8. North Melbourne - Tom Scully
9. St.Kilda - Nick Heyne
10. Brisbane - Tyrone Vickory (My dark horse)

Why would Brisbane take a ruckman or forward - they have heaps of KP talent. Leunberger isn't even getting a game and they have Mitch Clark and Lachie Henderson.

That makes no sense...

What he was saying is if no club bids for Cordy with 1st round pick, then they Bulldogs only have to use their 2nd round pick, in effect meaning they will have as good as 2 1st round picks.

I'm thinking Swans might bid with their 1st pick.

I do think the system could be flawed as all clubs know the bulldogs are going to take him, so if no one bothers to bid in 1st round, the bulldogs get a bargain.

unsure and dont think my dons will take Hurley because they have had 3 top 8 picks in the last few years. pick 7. Ryder (tall back), pick 6. D.Myers (tall Back), pick 23. T.Pears (tall back)

Myers is more of a midfielder than a "pure" backman, and in no way is he a KPP.

I agree that we will need Hurley and we should take him becasue classy mids are a diamond dozen. We could get a freak mid with our next pick (pick 21) and maybe another after that (pick 37).

Plenty of good mids this year. I hate how vics dont rate Deboer because he had one bad game and it was in victoria where all you vics were watching. Could i be saying that Suban is absolutley useless because i didnt see him get a kick in WA. Scouts dont just look at one game they look at kids for a year or 2. Deboer will go top 20 and should go top 12. Collingwood, Kangaroos will be strongly looking at him i feel as an inside mid to hand the footy at to there runners. Richmond may also look into him heavily because Tuck and K.Johnson will move on or are useless. Who will get the footy at to Deledio, Tambling and others. Cougs maybe but his injury prone

Hes a half back flanker/winger. He stands at 194 or 191 i think and would be capable of taking those tall mids or 3rd tall forwards.

He wouldve been drafted as a half backmen.

Hurley or Hartlett we should get one of them and Hurley will improve our team more but i really want an A grade midfielder at the club. Stanton is good but he cant brake tags and he gets number 1 tag each week. Hartlett in 3 years time would free him up.

myers was drafted as a midfielder, clubs don't use a top 6 pick on a half-back flanker. Just listen to a few of dodoro's post draft interviews. I would rather Hurley over Hartlett just so that we have a ready made replacement for fletch if Pears and Daniher don't develop in time and Ryder takes on a role in the ruck or up forward, which i suspect he will.

Also have faith in Houli, Myers, Hislop, Lonergan, Reimers and Jetta to become A grade midfielders, trust me :)

essendons future side:

J.Nash - Hurley - T.Pears
Houli - Ryder - C.Dempsey
Reimers - J.Watson - Myers
Monfries - Gumbleton - Lovett
A.Davey - Neagle - Jetta

Hille - Winderlich - Stanton

Laycock/Warnock , Prismall/A.Thomson or our 2nd round mid in 08 draft, Lonergan, Daniher
----------------------------------------------------------------
If the bombers wanted a midfielder we woudlve taken Palmer. We needed tall running half backs that could be versatile to replace Hird, Fletcher, M.Michael. (case closed)

An A grade midfielder is a classy mid none of those bombers look like class. Winderlich, Reimers and Stanton are the only ones with real class in the mids but yet to show it.

This is Stanton's first year basically of copping some hard tags, so I wouldn't say he can't break tags and leave it at that, when you don't have Hird in the team to help draw the attention away of course its going to put some extra pressure on Stants.

he will always struggle to break a tag because he doesnt have
a) speed
b) wins hard balls

He gets cheap kicks running forward of the footy, ive got no doubt he could become a top mid but he needs someone else to take the tags in the future. If we dont get a good mid Stanton could be wasted as a player.

Prismall and A.thomson are players that essendon must look at especially prismall

I agree partly, and see where you're coming from, but Hird didn't have great speed either rather he'd beat tags because of his footy smarts, always putting himelf in places where the ball was going to go on endless ocassions, and Stanton could be someone similar when he gets a bit older because he still has a long way to go until his career is over, but certainly won't be as good as Hird, but never say never ;). Prismall would be good to get cheap, though Geelong fans seem to really rate him highly (Early second round pick) and if that reflects Geelong the footy club's opinions, club's won't make a play at him for that expensive price. Thomson has been known for his quick hands, getting in and under packs and for his composure when he gets his hands on the footy. He was highly rated as a youngster, and can't find a way to crack into the Port side for good. Again, if they'll give him away for a bargain price, I'd have a real good look of snapping him up.

good luck if you can get warnock. its not out of the question, but i think the stars will allign and he'll go to melbourne.

the straight line down the centre looks great for the future.
Hurley
Ryder
Watson
Gumbleton
Neagle
neagle is probably the weak link there, and i can see essendon taking a key forward with their second pick, maybe cornelius would be a good fit. because essendon need to look at someone replacing lloyd.
or you can hold out for butcher next year, however he'll be in high demand i would say.

WA STATS:
Deboer 102 posses
Pearce 90 posses
K.Lucas 89 posses
Walters 88 posses 7 goals 6
Rich 80 posses 3 goals 4

L.Daly 9 goals in 3 games

also Natunai had 63 posses as a ruckmen

All should get all australian bar Daly but he was a chance if he played more games.
S.Hill should be added to that list

1. Melbourne: Watts
2. West Coast: Rich, they have Cox and desperately another midfielder.
3. Fremantle: Natunai, take the best available, good back up for Sandilands
4. Port Adelaide: Take the adelaide boy in Hartlett, 2nd best mid, wont let him go.
5. Essendon: Hurley, they will take the best available and that is Hurley, also loosing fletcher means they need a replacement and he is the obvious one.
6. Richmond: McKernan, become anything! Most likely a tall forward that could swap into the ruck.
7. North Melbourne: Ziebell, strong midfielder, flanker type.
8. Carlton: Yarran, Carlton in need of a quality ball user through the half forward line!
9. St.Kilda: Vickery, saints in desperate need of a quality ruckman come forward, and Vickery showed why there has been big wraps on him for sometime, on wednesday!
10. Adelaide: Sidebottom, fits adelaide's needs! probably the next best available

Had a tackle at the top eight, will do the rest when the ladder is more settled and we get a better idea of whos who in the drafting stakes.

Melbourne - Melbourne are, and will be last for a reason, they're shite. They have the worst forwardline, worst backline, one of the worst ruck divisions and their midfield is second rate at best. Best available is the key for Melbourne. Natanui is that, plus he tackles some of Melbourne's KPP (or should I say lack of KPP) problems, not to mention their thread bare rucks. White wont be around forever. Natanui
.

I had a massive laugh at this.

Firstly, if you think our list is bad, what do you think of Richmonds?

We have you covered in every area.

Secondly, what the hell were you thinking when you wrote all that dribble?

Very good guesstimate, but I don't think Vickery will go that high. Probably mid first round to early second round would be about right.
