At least give Greg Norman some credit, remembering that was his first major tournament in 3 years, and to be in the top 5 in the leaderboard at the end of the British Open considering how long he was out of playing championship golf is a great effort.

You must be from East Keilor Grammar, giving someone credit for coming 3rd. Or do you just know what the feeling is like?

Contenders for what exactly ??
they will miss out on the finals by about 3 games....
Final 4 was set a month ago, maybe more, and they certainly wont be a part of it

Meant to infer that without them they are no much chop as is with them their contender without them they are nowhere...Im aware of the ladder.

ps.
Could be a slow finish to B grade season if OMs get another win soonish.

If you knew about this thread you would know that Jas is definitely not an OEG man. He is really the VAFA's answer to Caroline Wilson...

I will give him his due credit Jas however you can't shy away from the fact he choked, and has done so before. Played 3 very smart days in ordinary conditions that suited him because the bit hitting younger players were nullified, went to pieces on the last day with ridiculous shot and club selection, as well as the flat stick going to sleep. But this is discussion for biggolf.com, my dig was at OEKG, and their recent finals record

I was at revolver with a few mates a few weeks ago and they reckon Lukey Mac could be looking elsewhere

He is contemplating a move if he can ever get fit. Would be a massive loss, we have struggled all year wothout his services

Looks like Old Brighton is the place to go to. must say something about Matty Smith

Lets hope for our sake we try and win a few games

Obviously Drizzle you put your illustrious VAFA football career on hold to play a few years on the European PGA tour.

That must make you an expert on Norman's failings.

At 53 years of age the guy just earnt himself a start at next years US Masters. Give him the credit he so richly deserves.

The give away my friend is that no golfer worth his salt ever refers to the putter as the flat stick. I'm sure you probably call the occasional 190 yard scrubber you manage to get on the short stuff as being "right in the mayor's office"

Stop trying to channel Sandy Roberts (another knob with no idea about golf) and stick to footy.

To the subject of B Grade jumpers and their respective qualities. I offer the following rankings and observations for your dicsussion:

1. OM's - Classic combination steeped in history. Very elegant.
2. Caulfield - Not far behind OM's. Understated, classical and clean. Juddy once wore it.
3. OH - Magenta with black yoke and gold numbers. Actually looks better than it reads. And this is not a strong field!
4. SKOB - Blue and green should ne'er be seen. Gold hoops. Somehow it defies any number of fashion axioms to actually look OK. Now about those hoodies.....
5. Old Carey - Would rate much higher however any jumper with an animal on the front re-kindles memories of the Brisbane Bears disaster. Lose the feline and it is pushing top 3.
6. Beaumaris - the Willie Blue and Gold is starting to look a little dated - not the worst.
7. Camberwell - Started on the right track with OM / Caulfield navy blue and then completely lost the plot with that Nursery blue yoke. Too close to Ormond's abomination for my liking.
8. OE -Shocking colour / design combination offset by a logo which probably seemed a good idea at the time.
9. Marcellin - Pastel corner. Mauve, pale blue and lemon, It looks like Ken Done's fence. A struggle to take it seriously
10. St Bernards - What can one say? Looks like Big Bird in a budgie cage....wearing blue lipstick.

To the subject of B Grade jumpers and their respective qualities. I offer the following rankings and observations for your dicsussion:

1. OM's - Classic combination steeped in history. Very elegant. - Too boring and Very GAZMAN
2. Caulfield - Not far behind OM's. Understated, classical and clean. Juddy once wore it. - Its ok when its white hoops on blue not the other way around
3. OH - Magenta with black yoke and gold numbers. Actually looks better than it reads. And this is not a strong field! - Purple/Magenta whatever the f8ck it is should never be seen on a football gurensey end of story.
4. SKOB - Blue and green should ne'er be seen. Gold hoops. Somehow it defies any number of fashion axioms to actually look OK. Now about those hoodies..... Dont like the SKOB design and this is coming from an ex skobber ... they should go with the old school design of the Green/Gold V on the Navy blue looks much better
5. Old Carey - Would rate much higher however any jumper with an animal on the front re-kindles memories of the Brisbane Bears disaster. Lose the feline and it is pushing top 3. - I rate Carey's strip looks good without the panther on it
6. Beaumaris - the Willie Blue and Gold is starting to look a little dated - not the worst. - Beauies is good but somebody should tell them the sash goes the other way
7. Camberwell - Started on the right track with OM / Caulfield navy blue and then completely lost the plot with that Nursery blue yoke. Too close to Ormond's abomination for my liking. - Two blues is good , definately not the worst going around in the ammos
8. OE -Shocking colour / design combination offset by a logo which probably seemed a good idea at the time. - The Bomber emblem should go but I think this was Kenny Fletcher's doing
9. Marcellin - Pastel corner. Mauve, pale blue and lemon, It looks like Ken Done's fence. A struggle to take it seriously - Do the Marcellin boys still wear those shocking light blue shorts? ... you'd pray for an away game if you played there
10. St Bernards - What can one say? Looks like Big Bird in a budgie cage....wearing blue lipstick. The Bernies jumper is great, instantly recognisable, a traditional jumper and have never had to change it

WOW...great to see some interesting topics covered whilst i have been away..a big post on how footy jumpers are preceived, how enthralling!

NOTR..I read your post and I will catch up with you over the weekend..also ya old GF said to say hello and wants her 'items' back.

Anyone know who has been released from VFL this weekend...very important to know before tips with some big in's expected.

All roads lead to Righetti this weekend - however I think an interesting game will be played at OEG.....exciting weekend, don't know if I have been this excited since mmmmmm... NOTR's ex GF sat on my lap last weekend....those little cheeks are still hard as 'walnuts', rackman.

wah!

OEG to warm up for the new finals venue?
Wellers need to Cross this win off or find themselves in some strife.
SKOB at home to our friends.
Bernies at wherever they are playing but some handy VFL ins for the Sharks.
