Yeah I really regret a player who was never had anything to do with Hawthorn, and a guy drafted in the second round, after Richmond took the mighty Alex Gilmour. As for Tambling, come see me when his career disposal average hits 14, funnily enough that's about the same number of shots on goal Buddy takes a week. What could have been?

The difference being that the Bulldogs actually got a player of AFL standard in Griffen. A player that has helped them to a top 4 finish. All Tambling has done for Richmond is to ensure Aaron Fiora doesn't go down as the softest player to pull on the yellow and black, a title Tambling has sewn up.

If that doesn't make sense to you, what it means is that the Bulldogs gave us pick 6 for a guy who never played a game for us. It was never ours and we were never going to keep it becasue Mark Alvey had to go to Essendon and Jacobs to Hawthorn.

I knew it was too deep for you to understand. Essentially it was Danny Jacobs for Jade Rawlings, a guy who had walked out on us. We traded a crap unknown player (Veale) for pick 6 on the proviso we would not trade Rawlings so the Bullies could get him in the pre-season draft.
So we lost Veale and Rawlings and got Jacobs
Bulldogs lost pick 6 and Alvey and got Rawlings and Veale
Essendon lost Jacobs and got pick 6 and Alvey.
On top of all this, we were also able to get an AA in Trend Croad and a B&F winner in Brad Sewell. Who did the tigers pick up that year? Alex Gilmour, Thomas Roach, Daniel Jackson, Shane Morrison, Brent Hartigan, Shane Tuck, Andrew Raines, Simon Fletcher, Kyle Archibald, Ben Marsh, Luke Weller. Plus give up pick 6 & 20 for Nath Brown. Wow real value in that bunch.

Kingsley Hunter - Traded for pick 35. The same year you traded pick 28 for Justin Blumfield
Brett O'Farrell - Traded from Sydney (not ure what for) the same year the Tigers used their first pick on james White, and traded for Rory Hilton
Luke Brennan - taken at pick 8 (this was a big mistake), the same year the tiges used pick 12 to take Jay Schulz.

Of course the Doggies will look back and be disappointed they missed out on Buddy. But the fact is that Griffen is a very good player in his own right and would probably get a game in most clubs. Tambling on the other hand is an out and out hack who has done nothing, shown nothing and is going nowhere, Plus there is a little thing on the Bulldogs side in that they have finished above the Tiges in every year of the last decade except 2.

Why is it that this line is only ever used on Tambling. No one ever said/says it about Aaron and Alwyn Davey, Buddy, Cyril Rioli, Jetta, Lovett, Stokes, Varcoe, Wonnameiri etc. All of these players are better than tambling and took no where near the time to develop.
Danny Frawley had nohing to do with the drafting of Tambling.

Jetta has at least shown a willingness for a contest and that he is willing to run to create a possession and Wonna has shown that he can influence games and have an affect. Tambling has done nothing more than disappoint everyone with his inability to want the ball, and when it does fall into his lap he turns it over.

you really are a dullard aren't you. He brought up Tom Williams as an example of the Bulldogs at least trying to draft to cover their defficiencies. Sure it hasn't paid of with Williams, but it is better than Richmonds insistence to draft soft outside receivers who when by some miracle actually get to a contest, are pushed off or beaten without much effort.

Sure they improved this year, but they couldn't help but to after the crap they have served up in recent years. The fact still remains though that we have seen them finish 9th before only to find themselves at the bottom again the next year. And the way they are carrying on off field at the moment, there is nothing to say it won't happen again.
