he will play i reckon, if he doesnt then someone else can run around free on half back getting the cheap kicks.
Well even if you decide not to play him, you will still have to physically stop him from running onto the ground.

Could've been fooled today. Went to water in a GFL grand final and surrendered to a 110 point belting. They build 'em tough in Colac.
if he plays and they lose people will call him selfish - essendon 2001

If he's got cracked ribs and he plays, why wouldn't you give him a couple of jumper punches in the ribs. You wouldn't get reported, you probably wouldn't even concede a free kick for it... What's the downside to doing it?
He needs to weigh the risk of him wasting a spot on the field if he's going to play.
The question isn't "can he run onto the ground?"
The question is "can he be a valuable member over 4 quarters for a team that will beat Geelong?"
If he plays - and plays poorly - then he has let the team down.
Must perform.
One day someone like Luke Hodge is going to act all tough running out there on Grand Final day with injuries and he's gunna cop a knock in the first 5 minutes and he'll be gone for the day.
Then his team only has 3 on the bench.
Don't know about that. Hawks didn't get sucked in when Goddard flattened Mitchell.
I suppose the worst that would happen if you were to do it is that you'd get booed really hard.
