ROK talks hit a hurdle - SEN

Surely the best chance for RoK to get to Carlton is for him to go into the National draft. There is no way any of the top 4 is taking him in that and you would think the Bombers would have to go youth. Carlton with 3 or 4 first picks, pretty young side already could afford to go for RoK over a kid.

Just a thought

why wouldnt they have just traded pick 6 for him if they were gonna do that?

I just got back from a meeting in the CBD and was told that ROK will be at Carlton next year

Me too!! I was sitting in Maccas having lunch with a buddy who follows the Blues and he said that ROK is definitely going to Carlton next season. What a coincendence. :thumbsu:

That's amazing !!!

I just got an email from a guy in Nigeria telling me he also has inside knowledge about where ROK will play next year.

Once I gave him my bank account details he confirmed it was Carlton.

I knew that meeting in the CBD sounded familiar.

This was a thread started my Mr.X last year.

"Just got back from a meeting in the CBD and the blues are now resigned to the fact the they'll struggle to make the deal directly with WCE.

There isn't enough time left in trade week to come up with a complicated 3 or 4 way club deal that will keep everyone happy, so the pick 3+20+Kennedy deal is off the table. The deal should have been done by now, and time is a real factor

Judd is aware of this, and is extremly disappointed. Looks like he will nominate for the PSD with a huge price attached.

Tigers are very much in the mix, and there may soon be a higher profile player at RFC traded away to make room in their cap. They intend to speak to Judd and get him keen on the idea of coming to Tigerland.

Disappointing for all parties concerned.. just proves that draft week rarely gets any real results"

These CBD meetings are very accurate it seems.

Well I would think logically, that Carlton was keen to keep pick 6 (last compromised draft before GC17 etc etc), however they could have conceivably consider the best of both worlds scenario, which could go somthing like this:

Keep Pick 6 (tick)

Get ROK to nominated for ND and put price on his head too big for other clubs to match.

Pick ROK up for selection 88 in ND.

Dreaming I know but its just a scenario.....:)

FWIW - as much as I would love ROK, I think its more than likely he will stay at the Swans

I remember so well when Mr X posted that. You would like to think he would have learned a lesson from it. I guess he thought people may have forgotten how he trashed his own credibility by posting something that was totally untrue.

Rofl I didn't know about the meeting he sat in on relating to Judd.

Seems those concerned have given mr.x a bum steer for the second year running.
