Ahmad- was a good player I thought. Solid guy whose fast of the mark, with a good kick. Can play forward and midfield. Interesting seeing his gone from West Coburg. He'll dominate 'B' grade. Injury free.

I think you may well have heard that in your own little head - couldn't be further from the truth, but hey don't let the truth get in the way of a big footy story. As for the amount of money jackson's being paid - not getting any cash we just bought him a 6 bedroom house down on the boulevard

everyone in the edfl thinks allison is a joke. he couldnt coach for his life. he if brought no money to the table then he would not have the job. how does he compare to macpherson or mighty mike, not to highly i would think.

Strathmore will be better without him

Peakes boys have not left Greenvale and either has Randello

Without Doering? Why is that? It would have seem to me that Doering was the one thing that keep Strathmore together when all seemed to be turning to S**T! And rumor has it he was next in line for the coaching position....

can you b grade kids start up your own thread thanks your boring me silly.

"Billthekid" thought this forum was an open one don't like the questions dont read nor waste your time on replying then! But do agree Doering was a star performer for Strathmore and think will be missed if no longer there.

But to the real point, where is he if not at strathmore?? I didn't waste my time creating an account to get any opinions just locations!!

Has moved up to Queensland, and playing at Labrador. Moved up with his lovely girlfriend. Will be missed at the mores.

Dropped by Abers training last night and must say numbers a little disappointing? The ones that were there were all kids (great for the future but not good for success in 2009 one would have thought?). Did see Willouby training though, so maybe not gone just yet.
Had a look over your playing list from 08 and as I read it going by the ins and outs posted thus far and from word going around:

Ins: Barham, Van Reit, Fisher
Outs: Mansbridge, Cartwright (retired?), Cole, Mongta, Taylor (may be there now but will he last the season?), Randal Rioli (overweight and next to useless), bigman Aaron Lerm, Moran, Egan (yes he is going), Luke Kinnabugh, Peterson, Willouby (sniffing for other clubs again), others?

Reading between the lines that doesn't look too good on paper... Keeping in mind 08 was not exactly a good season and I would have thought you'd need to keep what you had and built on with 6-8 'quality' additions. 3 horse race for wooden spoon I say- Glenroy, Abers and Avondale who are gaining momentum.

Looks as though Albion have secured Harro as senior coach and Philpott has signed there too, leaving a big hole at Douttas IMO.

Marby on fire to push for a top 2 finish. Funny thing is with rumours of the money they spend on players, they are now getting 'quality' players asking them if they may be interested in there playing services.

B grade clubs be warned, if you are even thinking of winning the 2009 premiership you better have a plan in place (and the money) of what to do to get attacking recruiting the day after you win the premiership or you will really struggle. Don't think Glenroy had a plan in place and time is running out. Get 2-3 'big' names before Christmas (and hope you attract some more after it) or you will be fighting it out for the spoon.

Fantastic work footy nut!

I dont think avondale will be to bad, i know they have lost a few players but they have also picked up some very good ones. Piercey is going to be a very good player next season for them. I think you will find doutta's have lost a few more other than philpot and the others mentioned on that list. I know for a fact there are 3 - 4 talented players are training at other clubs at the moment. Abers have very good under 18's but i think your right footy nut these kids are not ready. No dounbt a few could play seniors but it will not save a club from going down.

Heard a few players at marby had to take pay cuts and a few are very close to leaving because of it. should be interesting to see what happens over the christmas break. As for Glenroy i think they have come in at the right time dont be suprised if they cause a few upsets....

Marby have recruited massively indeed it would appear. You're absolutely right about people asking to get there DUE TO MONEY ON OFFER. While there's nothing wrong with paying (I have never been one of those who complains about money in local footy) they need to continue to develop the club to ensure the long term results. Those marby people on here continually say this is happening, so good luck to them.

mainsbridge never played a game at abers last year, cole played two oer three games and was never fit enough, mongta played a couple of games, Rioli played one game, Lerm played a handful but won the b&f in the twos for the comp, Peterson left after the first 4 rounds to play VFL footy, Wiloughby played a few games was never fit, moran played twos for most of the year and was no good but was a very good fitness coach, so with all those players you have mentioned it does not mean much to abers. Egan will stay he is away at the moment, Shep doesnt train much before Xmas, Keg has been there and looks fit. i would have as much money as you like that abers does not go down to B grade and will finish in the top 6 pushing for top 4.
