In my opinion, Jankovic taking an injury time out for sweet FA is worse than going ballistic at a chair umpire, nearly every tennis player at some stage in their career has gone nuts at an ump.

I have no problem with people liking Safin. What I do have a problem with is people bad mouthing Hewett for behaving in the same way as Safin. If Hewett is to be labelled a whining nuisance, which he is on BF, then so too should Safin.

Safin has never brought race into anything, seriously when Hewitt did that, people who didn't really have a preference either way, ended up hating the guy, seriously a douchebag for that. Safin has anger issues, Hewitt seems to just be a twat.

I think both have anger issues and both are twats and should be treated in the same manner. Safin annoys me because he utilises his charisma in order to avoid the criticism that he probably deserves.

^Yeah the outburst against the linesman wasn't respectful.

I still believe you have far overestimated this aspect of his persona.

Keep in mind that he does have a lot of humility and honesty as a player compared to many others, and this shines through in his press conferences. This appeals to many fans.

edit: Just read the last page of this thread which I missed before making this post. It goes back to what I was saying. Hewitt lacks humility. All too often after a match does he blame his loss on things that he believes were out of his control.
