first off this isnt a "omg hes the best ever" thread, so lay off trolls.

This guys game today was outstanding. 29 touches, but thats not what was impressive, it was his ability to create a contest playing mainly off half back.

he deserves a rising star nomination in my opinion

He was brilliant.

I think he deserves a nomination for the rising star too, he looked like a 40 game player out there today. Went when it was his turn, played well defensivley and looked composed with the ball.

Highly impressed with Whitecross in what I've seen so far. Seems to have plenty of time, and doesn't panic when under the pump. Should fill in nicely for Laddo.

will win the brownlow this year and take hawthorn to a triple premiership with ease

what a classy player, a genuine superstar of the game

Seriously, do you have to troll every Hawthorn-related thread?? Seems like you have an acute case of Premiership-envy...

What were his possies like? Backline ones or contested?

Dangerfield only had 20 touches but I think it was 9 in close contested and 5 clearances. Plus a goal. Ahhh who am I kidding...

stats say uncontested, however, its not like he waited behind packs, and got the cheap one. he was in the middle of every play, and earnt every possie.

Isnt dangerfield too old for the RS? whoever gets it, they deserve it, sensational round for all the young blokes of the comp.

The stats say 4 contested, 9 rebound 50's, 1 clearance, 1 i50, a fair effort for the third gamer, I saw plenty of him at Box Hill last year, and the best part of his game is his dual sidedness, which we havn't really seen yet.

There is no doubt Dangerfield is looking the goods in the past two weeks. He like Whitecross posess a great size for such young kids.

Will he stay in the side after the All-Australians come back though? That will be interesting. I though Shoenmarkers was good as well.

You though Shoenmarkers was good??

Geez I thought he struggled like most players in the first few games. He will come good but he is to slow disposing and making decisions.

He had 2 kicks 8 hb and was caught holding the ball twice. He did lay 4 tackles but it was the sort of game were every one laid at least 4 and got tackled hard... Great tuff game, score didn't really do the game justice. Roos are bloody hard. The Simpson Hodge bump would have made the roof shake if it was closed

From the games Ive seen this round it would go;

Walker, Whitecross, Beams & Dangerfield in that order, you must think about opposition as well, so maybe whitecross gets the nod from me.

I think games vs Freo should count for nothing, not even brownlow votes.

GOLD :D:D

Whitecross was very composed and had very high efficiency with his kicking.

Walker was pretty good also, but as you say.......
