If SR2 had GTAIV's polish, it would be considered one of the greatest games ever without a doubt.

Both stories are good - but I prefer the humorous approach of SR2 and the ballsy gangster scene.

GTAIV has no replay value in my opinion. It's too hard to go on rampages and enter cheats.

I played the GTA IV add on mission and have recently gone back to playing SR 2. I have to say, i found the shooting in GTA IV even worse than i remembered it. I find the SR 2 shooting to be far easier to aim and shoot then GAT IV.

SR 2 is a nice no thinking game where i can drive around listening to dodgy 80's music having fun. I just didn't get the fun factor in GTA IV.

thing is, the shooting system in GTA4 can be done exactly the same as the system in SR2, depending on the player. The depth in GTA4, and the combat system, is way more enjoyable imo.

Throwing civilians off bridges whilst listening to Men at Work >>>> Anything GTAIV offers

In the expansion (Xbox only) rolling with an entire bikie gang behind you, listening to Jailbreak by Thin Lizzy as you careen into a convoy of rival bikers whilst shooting them with a sawn off. Mayhem ensues.

But GTA4 has better replay value and is just so much more polished. And I hope you were joking about the storyline.

As I have stated numerous times, I wholly agree with Scooterb here, I have NO idea where the replay value in GTA IV is, SR2 I can see, as I have only played 3 of the actual story missions, but played around 20 hours of the game so far, I tried going through the story on GTA IV for the trophies, but have stopped a few missions in as it really is crap, the insane fun that kicking someone in the nuts or throwing them off a bridge brings in SR2 outweighs anything GTA Bore brings.

Vice City/San Andreas = Replay Value, GTA IV = Bore value.

I think for fun factor SR2 definitely wins, but the expansion pack really adds another dimension to GTA4, you an see the story from a different angle - and it made me want to go back and play as Niko again.

As far as the actual game world goes, SR2 feels like a sloppy cartoon imitation of GTA4 and it is just hard to play SR2 so soon after completing GTA4 again because it just really feels mediocre.

I had SR2 down as my most surprisingly fun game of the year, because it was awesome. But after playing both games more than probably anyone on this forum, I have to say GTA4 stacks up better over time and is just a better game. The depth to GTA4 isn't immediately visible the way it is with SR2, but both games are better than Godfather 2.

Godfather 2's main strength is in the strategy aspect and managing the family. Its weakness is that the maps are small, and combat is fairly boring. Executions are brutal though and are a lot of fun.

SR2's main strength is that its instant fun and completely out there as far as what you actually do in the game. Weakness of SR2 is the incredibly lame storyline (can be forgiven considering the ridiculous nature of the game and setting) and the cartoonish world and fighting system.

GTA4's strength is Liberty City, the physics and the combat system. Its so detailed that there simply playing the game through to completion doesn't really give you an insight as to how much you can do. The expansion pack is a killer too and really helps the game. Looking forward to the second expansion. Its weakness is the missions can be a bit generic at first glance, until you realise there's multiple ways to do a lot of the missions.

There is a way to prove that.;)

I really can't agree with the missions having multiple ways to do them, 90% from what I played really didn't have that much variety or non-linear styles to them(I'd even go as far as saying Killzone 2 was less linear in ways to do attack missions than GTA IV), could you give some examples maybe?

Really though, I just can't agree with you, but really don't want to get into an arguement as I think everyone knows both ours, Mancey's, LLD's, Scooterb's, etc. opinions on the game.

The thing is, I can't takle anything he says seriously, he loves nearly every game that comes out. He still plays HOME ffs.

Someone should really lock the Home thread...it's really embarrassing for us PS3 owners.

You not seen what I think of RE5, I liked the game some what, but was far more scathing than Viney and Mancey.

6.5/10 review of Assassin's Creed.

How can I 'love nearly every game that comes out' when the game we were comparing was one that I DISLIKED?

I guess you didn't see me talking about this game that just came out? "Don't think I'll be getting it...actually looks a step back from what The Godfather was"

BTW what's so bad about checking out a free app?
Haha you're not the only one Karl. He downloads home costumes.

He even downloaded a batman costume the other day.
It was Free FFS, BTW Night Owl, not Batman.

Let's not forget the person who was saying "Where did you get it" "I'm going to get it now".

That makes it even more sad Hbn00b.

Yes because I said that didn't I and I actually downloaded it didn't I?

You might want to shut up now before you make yourself out to be more of a dick than you already are.

Not really, Watchmen was a damn good movie, I rate it up there around (But just below) TDK, probably better than Begins too.

However that is without reading the GN, might not be as good when compared to the GN which is apparently brilliant, also has a different ending, so wouldn't mind checking it out.
Yes because I said that didn't I and I actually downloaded it didn't I?
Yes, you did say it Kerrby, don't bullshit and act like you didn't(You said "Where do you get it" then said "I'm going to get it" then I told you not to and check out Xi more:rolleyes:), how do I know if you went and downloaded it? You buggered off fairly quickly.

As I said, it was FREE, took about 10 seconds to download too.

Okay, continue your bullshit stories HBK? This is quite hilarious, HBK trying to drag me down to his batman costume wearing, home playing self. Just a question, do you have assburgers?

Btw, I left HOME before you. You're a complete knob. I also find it funny that you told me that you win almost every argument on here, correct? You laughed at me when I told you Viney and Mancey have pwnt you many times, but you're too ignorant to see it.

People, I give you HBK.

Bullshit stories, I know what you said Kerrbs, and you said exactly what I wrote before.

I admit I downloaded a free costume, why is it so hard for you to admit to wanting it too?

lol wut? I was on HOME because I was checking out the new areas, also wanted to know if the new RE5 area was open.

I really don't understand this whole HOME hate though, it's free, takes very little time to look around, and there are some alright mini-games to play.
Btw, I left HOME before you.
Which you left a game to go to in the first place, why did HOME take priority over that for you?
I also find it funny that you told me that you win almost every argument on here, correct? You laughed at me when I told you Viney and Mancey have pwnt you many times, but you're too ignorant to see it.
Yep, believe the dream Kerrbs.
People, I give you HBK.
