Hey your risottos are good! I can do a pretty mean quiche as well (sans crust though), but we're always too lazy to cook from scratch. Hmmmm... Now I feel like risotto haha. But the instant supermarket ones are always too rich.!

Aw thank you. :)

Yeah the only trouble Ive had with quiche is our oven and the fact it doesnt set properly. Maybe add an extra egg??? Would the eggs be the thickening agent in the recipe??? Anyway the other week i had to eat it straight out of the pie dish it was too runny to cut!!!!!! But it still tasted good anyway. :D

Haha, travel with what money? :p I'll be fine after I graduate and get a job. The real world will make me its bitch, but it'll be good, I guess? Painful but good?!

Well you need some money to travel... but you dont always need alot. Camp America is one option to get over to the States, but earn money at the same time... you'd be on a dual passport too wouldnt you?? So you can work in Asia???? I think i can get one for Europe coz my dad was born in Greece, but I havent.

**** that sounds good!

Lol, its just a salad!!! But yeah it is niiiice. I put the grated cheese on top of the chicken, so it all melts.

Mmmmm but chicken is good and all the other ingredients sounded yummy as well...

Nah I'm just on the one passport. Legally, I'm Singaporean but I'm only an Australian permanent resident, not a citizen. I don't know... Right now, I can probably only go overseas after uni, and I've heard that the chances of one getting a job after doing that aren't very good. And it's already hard enough to get one in the media industry. Sigh!

Oh and err with the quiche maybe you can add some flour? Actually, I wouldn't know. Don't trust me.

You could always just get a VISA to work over in Europe (an many Aussies do)... ah wait, you're saying you dont have an Australian passport... Okay no idea then!!! Anyway, the point is it can be done. My friend has been overseas for like 3 years now!!! She just goes from place to place.. shes worked in Canada, England, etc... right now shes taking a break from working and travelling in the States.. in LA right now. Thats not for everyone tho. 3 years plus is a looong time to be from home. Id miss everyone and everything too much.

And roger that about the quiche. :D:p

Nah dont be. Her postcards are as boring as batshit lol. Like "I went on a walking tour of LA". Seriously. :D

Hahah i shouldnt bag my friend...

Personally the biggest thing I missed wasnt the actual footy itself.. but the ability to have a chat to someone about footy. I was truly in a land of my own amoungst all the yanks, poms, irish, etc etc... :(

Re: Chit Chat 19

I'm going over to England for a month in like 7 weeks... I'm not actually looking forward to it though. I'm going to get so homesick, and I like my life here so much right now, I don't wanna miss out on anything.

Ditto.

Re: Chit Chat 19

Same here. The meals I can cook well are like risotto, pastas... and just recently quiche.

I really think quiche is a woman's food because every male i know (myself included) think it looks like baked chuck.

I love egg in almost every form but the look of quiche is just too off-putting for me to even try it.

Re: Chit Chat 19

Hahahaha, really?

Absolutely.
I have never in my life seen a male eating quiche, and no matter who makes it, to me it just looks like someone has chucked up in a pastry case and baked it.

The only food on earth that is less appealing for me is canned tuna.

My boyfriend and his former housemate liked my quiche lorraine though!

Your boyfriend has no choice but to say he likes the food you make, though. :D

Just make sure you bring a big coat.

And Quiche is indeed yuck as are vol-au-vents and all yucky finger buffet foods apart from Sausages/Sausage rolls/Scotch Eggs etc.
