I know people are hanging out for a report but i was not at the game. I had the pleasure of watching the worst game of under 18 footy i have seen at the MCG between Tassie and the Gold Coast.

I did however get updates during the day from a reliable source ( Jackie M from BB ).

His comments where
Bellchambers ordinary.
Houli and Hooker pretty good.
Nash steady but not great.
Neagle average. Only did a couple of good things and was moved to defence.
Magin showed a bit of skill but needs to do more.
Atkinsons run and carry was good.
Klemke got injued.
Quinn was not as good as his early games.
Tyson Slattery was one of the better players.

ant, off-topic for just a sec but did Crichton play for Tas in that U18 debacle? if so, how did he look?

No did not play.

Just something quick from Bomber Blitz, Lucas finished with 4, Bock 2, Holmes 1, Slattery 1, Quinn kicked one apparentlym but ran to far. Best according someone at the game was Lucas, Hurley/Daniher played well in defence, Prismal played only about half the game, did some nice things, copped a heavy blow, but got up and ran it off, great too see him out there. All in all a good day for the EFC as some returning players got through the game unscathed. Nash copped a hand injury, Atkinson also, but he returned leter, Bock showed good signs in the ruck though, which is a real positive, and Bristow was probably the best of the BB players.
Magin was also very classy, didnt get much of it, but used the ball extremely well when he had it in his hands.

Just go and have a look on BomberBlitz.com and look for the Bendigo forum, alot of shit is in there cause this one guy was saying he was at the game, and giving false evidence, but he wasnt, and someone that was actually there pulled the gun on him and found him out, so alot of s*** is in it. 20 odd pages of rubbish in fact.

QAny ways ladies and gents, im sure someone will come on here and post a full run down, im off to work now :(

Go Bombers.

From FogDog on BB..

Final score was them 150 to us 61. Or close to that.

Goal kickers were Lucas 4, Bock 2, Holmes 1, Slattery 1 and one other goal scorer not remembered.

- Lucas was the most consistent EFC player in what was a bad game of football.

- Daniher possibly the next best doing work down back and in the middle.

- Hurley was ok, playing his best footy in the second half.

- Magin, Atkinson and Slattery ok.

- Nash eeeek

- Quinn needs time. Kicked a goal that was called back after he ran 14.9 metres.

- Prismal not bad, played about 59% gametime.

- No injuries, although Nash and Atkinson were involved in separate head collisions but returned to the field.

The Bendigo Bombers were soundly beaten by North Ballarat this afternoon but the big news for Essendon fans came in the form of first-year Bomber Brent Prismall. The former Geelong player played his first game since recovering from a serious knee injury and got though half a game collecting 12 possessions and moving well.

There was further good news depsite the result with early draft selection Michael Hurley getting through half a game following his early-season quad injury. Scott Lucas also showed he is anything but a spent force, kicking three goals in the first 20 minutes of the game and finishing with four as the Bombers only shining light up forward.

Essendon assistant coach Gary O'Donnell made the journey to Stawell and was pleased with Prismall's first official hit out in the red and black colours.

"He only played about 45 minutes but he looked to be reading the ball well and he got about a dozen touches. It was all you could ask of him at this stage and I know he will be pleased to be back out there. It has been a hard slog for him - it is great that he can now get back out there and do what he does best," O'Donnell said.

"Hurley didn't have a huge influence on the game and again he didn't play the full four quarters but he was also was about getting through some match time, getting the touch back and ensuring he recovers and pulls up well.

"Scott (Lucas) showed he was getting back to some form. He started really well and had kicked three goals very early in the game. His opportunities were limited from that point on but there were signs there and hopefully he was feeling more confident as the game went on."

North Ballarat continued the Bendigo Bombers' poor start to the season at Central Park Stawell winning 23.13 (151) to the 9.6 (60).Bendigo goalkickers: Lucas (4), Bock (2), Holmes, Davies, Slattery (1). Best: Bristow, Slattery, Quinn, Lucas, Scanlon, Bock.

Made the long journey to Stawell to watch the game yesterday.

Best part of the day was the fantastic Hot Dogs.

Seriously, We should throw some cash into the recruiting of players at Bendigo. As there are too many Bendigo listed players that are just not up to it. It was scary to see some of the skill errors yesterday.

Ok, Positives.

First quarter was ok. Scotty Lucas was presenting well all day, and was tripled teamed all day. Was easily our best player. Took some very nice marks on a pretty good opponent. Was very impressive from limited opportunities.

Good to see Prismall get through with a couple of touches and did some nice things. Bendigo did not have the ball at any stage of the game, so 12 possies was a good return from about 50% game time.

Daniher & Hurley did some nice things. Quinn kicked a great goal after bouncing twice and got pinged when he ran barely 10m. However he is absolutley clueless when he gets the ball and needs all year in the magoos to play the game before he comes up again.

I think the lack of quality players down there is a detriment to our players development. I know when Welsh, McVeigh, Riemers etc come back that the quality will obviously go up but at the moment, its a disgrace.

Bock kicked 2 goals, but gave away countless free kicks in the ruck. He doesnt seem confident to jump in at the ruck contest, and his eyes are too often on his opponent. However, a bit of gym work and a couple of seasons, I think he might be a good prospect.

The drive was so long, that i cant remember much else. lol.

I admit I haven't seen a game and I know that a lot of the better Essendon players are injured but the feedback I get is that a lot of the listed players currently playing aren't up to VFL senior level and there are whispers of wanting to drop some to the VFL seconds.
