Laidley leaves North, another coaching job opens up. Port better make a decision soon before the best other candidates take two of the availiable jobs.

It doesn't matter who coaches Port, next year as their list resembles Richmond's at the end of of 2004 and is a complete and utter mess. With the compromised draft in the next few years, now is the worse time for Port to start their 3rd rebuild in 4 years.
Now is the perfect time to re-sign Choco.
Otherwise he is gonna get the Collingwood, North, Doggies or Richmond job.
Port should move quickly … lest we end up with a mid table specialist unwilling to take a risk like Mumbles Craig.

You have a mid table specialist. Unwilling to take a risk? You mean like playing Burgoyne? Pettigrew? Chaplin? Pearce? Carr? Lade?and refusing to play some kids, that's a true risk.
Craig has changed his game style mid season to universal surprise in the football world. It's almost unheard of to a) do it and b) execute it. At this point he is being lauded for identifying a problem and trying to fix it.

If what they are saying about Shaun is true, then it's indicative of our problems at the moment. Everyone is too comfortable with Choco at the helm. There are no quotes in that article, but if it's true I don't think there has a been a better indication that we need to move Choco on.
Shaun at his best is a champion, but if he's playing for a coach and not for a club, then he's probably not what we want here.

Does not surprise me. Stiffy is happy at the Crows, Shaun is not at the Power and they are very tight and want to play footy together again sometime somewhere.
Maybe in Port Lincoln in 10 years time!!
Port can keep him, he can't shake a tag and is overated, this is despite Port supporters and Josh Francou claiming SB was going to ge "better than Judd" a couple of years ago.
This soap opera we call Port Power just keeps getting better.

i dont think Craigy would want such an outspoken player............
Some folks on the Power board are speculating that it is Choco who put Shaun up to this in a desperate attempt to save his job. Wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. It seems like a low Williams would be willing stoop to.
It might not be true. I was just repeating what was said on the Power board. Look it up since I'm not allowed to link to it.
