ITT Hawthorn supporters and one North supporter with a monumental anti-Lloyd chip in his shoulder try to convince the rest of the league that they're wrong.

It got him high and was reckless, Lloyd will rightly get a couple of weeks for it. Anything over and above that is reactionary Hawk bleating. Attempts to gauge Lloyd's intentions are equally irrational as the only one who knows for sure is the man himself.

1) Did Lloyd intentionally injure Sewell? No. I don't think he is the kind of person that would want to cause harm to an another player. More likely he wanted to impose some toughness from his side.

2) Is there a difference between the Buddy incident and the Lloyd incident Yes, slightly.

3) Essendon are arguing that Lloyd was pushed - what are your thoughts? He was pushed, certainly, but the contact was not what made him go through Sewell.

4) How many weeks do you think Lloyd will get Three.

5) How many weeks do you think Lloyd should get Zero. Or one.

Sewell was playing the ball and returning to an upright position. It's not like the Cousins / McGinnity bumps with accidental head contact from bumps to fully upright players.

For mine, it was midway between a Byron Pickett special (6+weeks) and an accidental head clash bump (2 weeks with 1 week early please...should be zero).

4 weeks, 3 with early. Fair result.

Of course he could have got low but that would have taken to much courage. Lloyd's actions were not brave and if he gets 4 weeks it will prove it. Sure if it was fair he will get off and you know more than me - but the upside is if he goes then your the one that has little idea about the game.

But this is the thing, you're not. Your taking grainy footage, composing a narrative and stick to it come what may. I providing an alternate, and IMHO, more plausible description of what happened. You are interested in getting Lloyd's sentence reduced. I want to see a player penalised for head high contact.

I respond perfectly well to evidence. I'd just like to see some.

Enjoy UFC. Is is scripted like WWF?

Favourites is upset little Matty has had his reputation tarnished and couldn't substantiate his claim against Hawthorn. FWIW, in the cold light of day, what Brown said was silly and could well yet get him sued, but I admire his desire to defend his teammates.

1) Did Lloyd intentionally injure Sewell? Hard to answer. I think he was going at the contest as hard as he could, whether that was to get the ball or take our Sewell I'm not sure. The fact that he had he arms outstretched goes in his favour though.

2) Is there a difference between the Buddy incident and the Lloyd incident Yeah, Buddy seemed to go for the bump more, or at least didn't disguise it as well.

3) Essendon are arguing that Lloyd was pushed - what are your thoughts? Was barely touched, wouldn't have made a difference. It was all his own momentum.

Sewell had his head over the ball, thus Lloyd had a responsibility and duty of care to NOT knock him out.
I'm not saying it was premeditated or that Lloyd is a thug/sniper etc, but he purely and simply stuffed up.

Check the OP. A bomber fan who expects his Skipper to go, and more pertinently, thinks he should go.

Compare this to last week, where only the anti Buddy/Hawk fans thought similarly, and even then, mostly due to the letter of the law.

Ask yourself this.
Would Buddy have got weeks last year? (Correct answer - NO)
Would Lloyd have got weeks post Byron Pickett?? (Correct answer - YES)

This is why they cant be compared.

Has nothing to do with Anti Lloyd/Ess sentiments nor any 'hard done by' sentiments re Buddy.

Brown is weak as piss. That is a given after the circumstances yesterday. He had plenty of time to retaliate but cowardly waited until after the game to do something. That isn't the issue.
