MCG was not the cats home venue for round 1 2008.
Has the Sydney Essendon game at Stadium Australia on Sunday before the opening weekend gained any legs at all?
Why does the opening game have to be Carlton Vs Richmond. Last years bottom 4 team playing a team who just traded there superstar full forward. Hardly watering at the mouth for that one.
The AFL are just waiting for Eddie Mcguire to do Collingwoods fixture and then they will work the rest around that.

Yeah I would be happy if they piss the Thursday night game off all together. Would make fine tuning the dreamteam easier! (always crashes on Thursday night as soon as the teams come out)
