Plus, are they really going to be making an Australian version of Come Dine with Me?

They sure are.

http://www.lifestylefood.com.au/quickbites/come-dine-with-me-australia

http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2009/08/lifestyle-to-produce-local-come-dine-with-me.html

They had applications on lifestyle food channel which are now closed. They had adverts for it on lifestyle food for a few months. I was going to apply, but it said that only sydney and melbourne residents would be chosen.

And what can they do now?

To reverse the results of the game would open a huge can of worms and set unbelievable precedence that will change the fabric of the sport. Overnight Ireland has applied for the game to be replayed; however, world football's ruling body seemed to indicate there could be little chance of granting that request.

The game is over and the umpire missed it. No one can seriously say the umpire cheated, knew he was going to do it and allowed the events to stand anyway. The umpire was positioned in an area of the pitch where his vision was impaired. The only thing and most logical outcome they (FIFA) will apply will be to suspend the umpire as it was an honest mistake that will be put down to human error.

Plus I don’t believe this makes him a cheat, well not a cheat like Diego Maradona and his divine intervention ‘hand of god’ goal. Thierry Henry has come out and admitted to using his hand. I think he did it as a reflex thing and as he has admitted it, not a cheat.

So why did he celebrate the goal then? If he knew that he had touched it blatantly.

Soccer is such a ridiculous sport. Not only is it soft & corrupt but its also officiated worse then a saturday night street fight.

"The ball then bounced up onto my hand..."

0:19 - make up your own mind. At least Maradona admitted he cheated.

wasnt there a game in the last world cup qualifiers where a game got replayed

I seem to remember seeing that it happened in a recent world cup, but I cant recall why

now, my random thought

Why the **** do I read all the draft threads.
Most of it is rumours, therefore isn't reliable.
and secondly, Rendell will get someone good anyway, there's no point in taking notice untill our pick is announced so we can start looking at that persons video

First year of my Uni degree is complete!:) Just have to wait for exams results now, but Im confident all will be atleast passes.:thumbsu: Time for 3.5 months of nothing!

T minus 4 months till the end of Mike Ranns hold on this state.

Really the only sad thing about him not being in office will be that an ICAC wont be able to reveal all the corruption under his leadership whilst he is still there.

This interview on 'Sunday Night' should be interesting, but I'd still put my money on Rann to easily win in the 2010 election.

And what is this corruption you speak of exactly? Care to give an example?

Yes, I too would put money on labor to win the election. I just don't think Rann will be the premier, or atleast he wont serve his whole term.

Corruption, well ofcourse its only a suspicion. But not one i built up over night. One has to question why Labor gets Millions from developers, and the liberals get nothing. Because labor is in power, and since labor has been in power, whose wealth has increased greatly? The Developers.Look at Con Makris.

Since Mike Rann took over he has used the major developement status of a swag of developers plans.

Labor has a huge war chest. They have dinners where a table costs in excess of $1000. Do you think these people really are paying $1k to listen to Rann speak??

Heres a gem aswell, last year as reported in the independent weekly, The Catholic Church was given land on Victoria Square, near the church. They sold the land to the church for under half the valued price. The Catholic Church was a large donor to the Labor Party. Within 6 months they were building the new SA Water building. Made a nice profit.

The hospital is between two bidders...a 1.6billion dollars hospital...and there are only 2 bidders. Better get on Labor good side! The Desal plant, contracts handed out to interstate firms. Why would you bring interstate people to do jobs that people and firms from this state can do?

Not only that but you have a premier who uses his voice on nearly every political advertising paid for by the taxpayer. Add that to labor warchest and its a one horse race. The Liberals biggest donor is Rob Gerard ffs. A man vs nearly every developer in the state.

Why doesn't Rann ban massive political donations, and why doesn't he set up an ICAC when corruption is found in every other state in which one exists. Because at the moment Labor can use this money to advertise every night for the next three montsh leading up to the election. The Libs could never be able to do this. I think at the last election the liberals had $200,000 to spend...lol. And because most likely ICAC would find corruption, and it would sink the Labor jugganaunt, or atleast it would damage their reputation for a long time.

I am not going to say Labor has done a shit job, in fact I think they have performed alright, and I hope if the Liberals win that they adopt many of the infrastructure plans that are going to be built. I just think we have many dodgey practices going on in state government. The worst thing that could happen to this state as we head towards our long awaited rise, would be for Labor to win a landside election again.

This is from Schism on the Port board

"The state is what,2 billion in debt over Workcover.Workcover board member starts a rehab company,Workcover board then puts a grinding halt on redemptions,so people stay in the system in a 'rehab churn'.Said rehab company rockets to number 1 or 2 on the list of rehab referrals from Workcover.Plenty of rehab to go around, because very few are receiving redemptions.License to print money for Workcover board members who make the policies to benefit their own private companies.Who pays for all these rehab contracts? The tax payer, hence a 2 billion dollar liability. Then there is the hundreds of millions of dollars Workcover lost gambling on the stock market.

Workcover board member happens to be an ALP donor and friend of Rann.

Solution? Bring in draconian Workcover laws to kick a few dozen (or even a few hundred) injured workers off the system, which somehow is supposed to claw back 2 billion dollars. That's discounting the fact that because of the new laws, disputes skyrocket and lawyers/doctors get yet more tax payer money.A year 3 maths student could see that even kicking a thousand workers off the system will not put a dent in a 2 billion dollar liability. It will however transfer many legitimate work injured people to the public health system.

It is:

a) A witch hunt to punish rorters by simply punishing every injured worker.Total war scorched earth policy.Stalin would be proud!
b) Making more money for lawyers, keeping in mind most of the people behind the legislation and politics are of course lawyers, and Adelaide being Adelaide, all move in the same circle. In the end,tax payers pay for this.
c) A license to print money for certain people that own rehab companies
d) Transferring massive amounts of money from tax payers to corporations like EML and certain corporate law firms by way of the Workcover tribunal. One firm had their contract increased to 20 odd million this year despite poorer results. How many workers could be redeemed out of the system with 20 million dollars?Given the tiny redemptions and function loss calculations under the new laws,i'm guessing hundreds and hundreds of workers. It could also pay for endless amounts of rehab for many workers.Yet we are to believe using new laws to bury a few rorters along with a heap of legitimately injured workers is going to win back 2 billion.

Nah,no corruption in SA, we don't need an independant corruption watchdog do we?"

God i hope rann loses. Or at least Michael Atkinson loses.

I agree but the thing is, I don’t believe the Liberal Party in South Australia is any position to win this election. The ALP can lose the election but I don’t think the Liberal Party is be strong enough in its current state to actually win it

I think the ALP will win the 2010 election by default.

We need a change but doubt a change will happen.

Finds it funny how so many supposed Football fans know nothing about the game.

Reading Facebook comments in regards too the Crows is hilarious!

Ryan Rawlings: Because the Crows list is so strong at this point I feel that we should be looking for quality more than quantity in this draft. Why not package our draft picks together to move up in the draft and get one or two of the top tier players? The Crows have never had the luxury of picking in the top 5 and it would be good to see!

Posted 52 minutes ago. Someone obviously never heard of trade week before :(

Some goldies from that thread include 'are we going to recruit Nathan Brown' (why?) and 'Keep Burton' (obviously hasn't realised the delistings are done)
well. We can still delist players.

but on the facebook topic. I dont read any of it. The average person on facebook seems to be as idiotic as a bad person on BigFooty.
