Adebayor was wearing a City top as he addressed the television cameras, a day after he gave an interview wearing an Arsenal polo shirt. He explained that he had borrowed the Arsenal shirt from his brother after running away from the ambushed bus and leaving all his luggage behind. "I did not realise what I was wearing," he said. Following the trauma, he said, "in our heads we don't even know what we are doing".
alberton magpie said:As for the question about true supporters, When I was a child everyone at my school went for Manchester United. One day I was looking at the scores in the paper and I saw that there was a Manchester City and I decided that I will go for them to be different, I had no idea about the scores or how bad we were.
This was about 12 years ago now and I can say confidently that I have always said that Manchester City was my team however I only started following them closely when I got foxtel installed and that was late 2007.
FINALLY I dont think its right for someone to question why they support a team, as stated earlier if ManU, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea had of sucked im sure they would not be anywhere near as popular.
