Adebayor was wearing a City top as he addressed the television cameras, a day after he gave an interview wearing an Arsenal polo shirt. He explained that he had borrowed the Arsenal shirt from his brother after running away from the ambushed bus and leaving all his luggage behind. "I did not realise what I was wearing," he said. Following the trauma, he said, "in our heads we don't even know what we are doing".

As for the question about true supporters, When I was a child everyone at my school went for Manchester United. One day I was looking at the scores in the paper and I saw that there was a Manchester City and I decided that I will go for them to be different, I had no idea about the scores or how bad we were.

This was about 12 years ago now and I can say confidently that I have always said that Manchester City was my team however I only started following them closely when I got foxtel installed and that was late 2007.

FINALLY I dont think its right for someone to question why they support a team, as stated earlier if ManU, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea had of sucked im sure they would not be anywhere near as popular.

I now live in the UK and people are always asking why this Aussie supports Man City, thinking I just jumped on the bandwagon. City were always the team I took an interest in because my favourite band is Oasis! Like alberton magpie I only started following them really closely, and watching a lot of premier league, around the start of the Sven era and off the back of the World Cup hype and my new love of football thanks to Melbourne Victory.

Big game tonight and a big week as well!

Really hope Robinho plays and scores some goals, we need him firing. I cant help but feel if he fires then we will be one awesome team. He would add the magic to what is an ever improving team.

GO CITY!

Half time at Goodison. We've gone soft in the middle! Vieira can't come in to this team quick enough IMO! We started ok and created a bit in the first 10 mins, but Barry's been getting done ever since and De Jong's been pretty ineffective too. Pienaar and Fellaini killing us!

I actually was happy to see RSC come off and Robi come on, because this'll be the first time we get to see him play centrally, which is where I think he'd be more effective. Unfortunately he's gotten absolutely no service, so it's a bit of a waste!!

With not many other options for midfield on the bench and 2 goals down, I fear we're in for an equally as torrid 2nd half.

:\

Depends on the fitness of Tevez and Petrov, I'd put SWP on maybe for Petrov.

Maybe swap Robinho and Bellamy as well, Robinho's just running into the brick wall that is Fellaini, I think Bellamy will be more effective.

We need to start testing them out though, no good defending, giving up possession and defending again. It's like it was under Hughes.

That was one hell of a dissapointing result.
But i guess we were due a flat game, to keep us in check.

We had nothing in the middle and up front we did not penetrate or create any clear chances. Everton's possession of the ball was excellent, all class. THey were brilliant.

Im sure we will bounce back in time for the League Cup semi :)

CITY TILL WE DIE!

Bring on United! CITYYYYYYYYYY!

Really hope we sharpen up in hte middle. We were very soft at Everton.

Id like to see Robinho really grab the bull by the horns and go out there and show us some magic that he showed last year.

I think the key to this game is our midfield, if we control it there and dictate the play we will be doing well. IF we let united dictate to us its gonna hurt!

Good to see Richards finding some form, he is gonna be impornat, love his runs.

GO CITY!

Anyone looking for a new shirt? How about this one?

Vladi out on loan with Bolton till the end of the season. Pity we don't get to use him, but I'm sure he'll come back better for the experience! I dare say Owen Coyle will be good for him!

What a great result against United :) Tevez penalty was lucky. I must admit even thouhg im happy we won i hate getting penalties when they are not deserved, oh well, we get bad decisions too i guess.

Now we need to build on that. Scampaignerhorpe will be awkward especially as it is in between the United games, i wonder if we will play a below par team.

Ha ha, Tevez called Gary Neville a sock sucking moron on Argentinian radio, best description of him I've ever heard.

I wish Tevez wouldnt waste time responding to the critics. Best answer is to put goals away and help City win! HE did that on Wednesday and that speaks more than words ever can :)

GO TEVEZ!

It'd be nice to hear "you're just a sock sucking moron" this week coming...

For this alone (beyond his performances), Carlos has endeared himself further with all city fans!

Good to get through a torrid game like that on top! Now for Stoke at home, which I think should be easier than Scunny away!

Glad RObinho scored. ended up listening ot the game on the raido, apparently robi waved goodbye after he was substituted, but then again commentators tend to see things that dont ever happen lol

I still think the Robinho leaving thing is simply a media mash up. There has been no concrete quote in English from any party about him going anywhere. Every quote that he tells Brazilian media is just completely misconstrued to sound sensational by the time the English tabloids and gutter tv (read: SSN) get their hands on it. The problem is, sensational stories get even more sensationalised over time, to the point where everyone believes them. I for one am sceptical of everything I read or see from English media.

I think City have more to lose loaning him out than keeping him. He had a good game today, and the goal will only give him confidence. It'd be nice to see him stay and get some more confidence as time goes on.
