I'd say a team that can win the ball in the middle. It's such a small ground that the centre clearences are so important.

I'd say with Mundy out, Schammer will probably come in and with Sydney having no ruckman I would lean towards Bradley not coming in and the coaching staff going with Johnson/Silvagni as backup.

Grover to come in to cover McPharlin and Schammer for Mundy.

Still can't work out why Kepler was dropped, considering he had a good game against the Lions.

I thought Mora was one of our best, can't see any reason for him to be dropped just yet.

no johnson doesn't require a rocket - mayne does yes he provides great forward presure but he's there to kick goals and he ain't delivering!!

Bolton and kirk are the scrappers need to match them with haze in middle
and probably schammer/crowley.

if any doubt on elvis, mundy and Greg B then they shouldn't play

replaced with Grover(reluctantly) schammer and suban.

iffy players are ibbo(needs touch in wafl) and Fyfe(is a future talent) but too skinny - being in roberton for fyfe/ibbo

Is there any other long termers on injury list? we need JVB and clancee pearce back on main list asap.

I wouldn't be taking anyone not 100% to Sydney, carrying injured players isn't going to help anything.

Kepler shouldn't have been dropped in the first place. Sydney might not have the best ruckmen in the league, but Kepler offers more than just a backup ruckman and he showed that against Brisbane.

I'd prefer Suban playing ahead of Schammer, but he hasn't really shown anything in the clearances yet and that is what we would lose without Mundy. An inside player like Schammer might be of more value, but Harvey loves Suban so he would probably come in for someone else anyway.

Fyfe didn't have his best game last night, but he still chased hard and pressured the Collingwood defenders. Sydney get a lot of their run from the half backs, so I'd think he will be pretty important next week. Just tell him to be completely selfish when inside fifty.

Apparently the WAFL form of most of our replacements was very ordinary. if you look at the WAFL thread, Grover looked ordinary, Schammer is still butchering the ball and Suban's touch was all over the place. However, we are going to have to bring in some or all of these guys.

Keplar was dropped because his main job is backup ruckman that means he needs to be getting hitouts and helping our mids get 1st use of the footy.
He didnt do that, some see all his disposals an think its good, but when half of them are mindless bombs into forward 50 when there were options free with better skills its not good play.
If he isnt getting hitouts an competing well in ruck he is no help to sandi an it just means he needs to come back on an ruck more, then we have to find a spot for keps or just sit him on bench.
Plus the game was at Subi where running players are important, so he was dropped because he didnt compete well enough in ruck an we wanted more run off the bench.

For the SCG Pav will need to start deeper in forward line or he will spend more time in midfield, as CHF isnt a position suited to SCG.
Will also need bigger bodied midfielders as clearances are key an not much space. Whoever wins midfield battle should win game.

With mcphee out there is now room for keplar without losing any run of bench.

10 or so years ago who would of ever thought there would be forwards playing a defensive negating role eg deboer.
I wonder how long it will be before that role goes back out of the game an teams actually start putting good forward options in to make them more accountable.
With zones these days where noone really takes a player you would think its not a needed option now.

McPhee was getting scapegoated in a big way at the game, he didn't play too badly. The behaviour from some of our members towards him was pretty disgusting.

Michael Johnston needs to harden up...ok to get kicks on your own but you do sometimes in football have to man up and unfortunately he is not very good at this and unlike Fyfe who there is not a lot of he does go in hard when its his turn..................Johnno and hard should not be mentioned in the same thread !!!!!!!
