i did the captain this in round for carrazzo, had him VC and did not have captain, but then put the "C" on Bartell i think, not a good move.
so an example would be if hodge is playing the first week and barlow isnt then have hodge as your "VC" if he goes shit then put a gun "C" but if Hodge guns it then leave it and your 'VC' score will count seeing u didnt have a C.

This works well, but stitched me in Round 1.

I put Scotland VC and he scored 124. I thought this was good enough for a captain score so did not set a captain. Swan gets 143.

theres a way to get rid of your captain choice it was posted on here not that long ago.. theres every chance you will have playing emergencies in the midfield which is where you would most likely want your captain choice

the loop hole also allows you to put a bench player on the field whos playng in the first week and if they are to fluke a big score eg rockliff last week you could leave them on the field without starting a sylvia/hall type player..

What about Sylvia (who wont play)

Im going to give it a go

VC to Barlow or Hodge and than Captain to Ablett. If Hodge or Bartel gun it 115+ than i will take that and swap Sylvia onto the field and have Ablett as my emergency is this still possible.

Dropped. He's played WAFL when dropped and no ongoing injury concerns as far as we know.

Avoid if you can, his job security is not too flash.
You'll have to excuse me, i've got the flu. I actually meant Mitchell Clark

Anyone know why he missed rounds 4, 7 and 8?

do you even have any idea when the split round is :S
sylvia has even been cleared to train on friday for his game on monday in the round prior to the split round...

haha funnily enough Mitch Brown missed Rds 6 to 10, dunno why I thought he missed Rd 4 though.

Clark missed due to suspension in Rd 4 and Rds 7 and 8 due to injury I believe.

Just saw that recent article come in

But i havnt looked at the fixture for this round CBF

So are you talking round 13, Sylvia will be right to play. Not round 12? Im confused because round 12 is the split round but over 2 weeks and melbourne are playing on that monday. But you said the round after.

Anyway i guess Mcneil could be an option aswell, he becomes important for more than DP :)

Edit: For some reason i thought it was a split round??

No wonder im confused people are talking about round 13 already and we haven't played round 12

Hey guys Help would be nice :)

I've got 255k and 6 trades left.
I want to upgrade Trengove but to who? It's either out of Chappy, Lenny, Jimmy bartel and Juddy. Or should I save some money and go Stanton or Selwood?

Also Should I trade Maguire? On the bench atm I've got Hargrave and... Presti

Just when i thought i had seen it all :eek:

I hope this is a joke

Who should i upgrade first?

Naitanui > Sandilands

or

Medhurst > Franklin

When Franklin isnt off getting suspended hes consistently pulling out 90ish, so i think he'd be a good semi-unique choice

I would go for either Lenny or Bartel, Chappy is too risky and with only 5 trades left you may need them elsewhere.

Trading Maguire is really up to you, some players take a while to recover from this injury and it may not heal right (Chris Knights) and others can be quicker to return.

Say you decide to offload him you could go

Trengove> Hayes

Following week if prices change as expected according to FF Genie

Maguire > Carrazzo with $1,700 but you would need Carrazzo to score his average and no not much higher for that to work.

Normally I would say option one since Franklin has been pretty average with how many games he has missed but Medhurst has a high BE of 80 odd and Franklin's is about 100 so he will only drop a bit you would expect (but he is playing Adelaide and down at Tassie which is a great ground for DT scores he might make that).

Whilst Naitanui on the other hand has a breakeven of 50 odd and Sandiland's is something like 117 so you could save some money I guess that way.

Both will improve your side by an average of 32 per player so there is no difference in that but If you can get them both this week and next I would go Franklin first, if not I would take Sandilands before he starts to rise in price again.

I would also consider Boyd. He is every bit as good as Hayes, Bartel ect. Has the same scoring output as seen by the weekend can score very high and once the doggies start to play football than buldogs scores should rise again. Was getting plenty of TOG before injury to his hand and some were predicting he would be the highest scorer/avg player for 2010.

This would make the next weeks trade easier and also maybe could consider Gilbert or another premium. All depends on what you want. I would probably go Boyd than Carazzo and look to pocket the extra money. The role Carazzo is playing should be watched this week, he is playing very defensively and starting to play as an on ball tag with Houlihan even in the side.

What do people think about Jarrad Waite at his current price as a possible forward/back option (his BE is only 54 this week)? I realise he has MRP issues most weeks (!) but I’m hoping he will learn his lesson. He just might have that x-factor and uniqueness that makes him a decent pickup. Should someone be talking me out of this move?

I realise I am a Carlton fan and should know more about Waite than other supporters, but on the flipside my bias might be colouring my judgement…

Could go Bang or Bust. Could be a move that sails you up the rankings or one that makes you look like a DT spud.

I personally think that the Risk is greater than the Reward, but if you have Davis a forward or back and Waite in the opposite spot than go for it i say. If you dont than the risk could still be worth it, carlton are scoring some huge numbers lately and hes been apart of it on some occasions this year.

Depends on what your goal is and where you are positioned right now??

An example could be someone who is ranked 150th and they bring Waite in as a unique premium. If he goes bang they could finish top 10. If he misses games and scores what he did last year than they drop back to 5k. They could play it safe and finish 40-70th.

Anyone know much about Sandi's missed games over the years? At the start of the year i deliberately stayed away from him because of his history (that's worked well ). Now with Hille down, i'm becoming weak in my stance and considering bringing him in.

He has also been down on his output as well so there seems to be a number of other (more unique) options. I'm really not sure if i've over thought this but seeing he is so popular it would now be in my interest to go unique and hope he misses his 2-4 games over the next 11.

Thoughts?

2009 - 20
2008 - 22
2007 - 15
2006 - 18
2005 - 18

I think for someone his size and going by ruckmen durability in general his durability has been pretty good, especially over the last two years. He dropped quite a few marks last week which he has been taking this year which would have seen him score 105+ and everyone would have said he is back. Bar Ryder and Kruezer there probably aren't any safe ruck options in terms of injury and durability.
