Lol - would be good to see them win a game :) Maybe Doug Ensor should play for them (atleast he knows how to kick goals)....

Skipper Jesse Edwards and Adam Edwards played well, for Gumeracha it was Quinton Graham and Brad Hutt who played best.
Nairne Bremer returned to the winners list with 56 point win over Kangarilla. After a tight first term the Rams dominated the game to gain their second win of the season, with Clint Foster and Tom Lipetri best. For Kangarilla, skipper Brett Wakefield was best, along with Jon Kilsby and Michael Bruggerman.
Kersbrook powered to a 69 point win over Macclesfield. Lee Hughes and Paul James were best, while for Macclesfield who only added two goals after quarter time, Saadi Mahomet and James Vaninetti were best.
Chad Dawe powered home 20 goals in Meadows 371 point win over Callington at the weekend. It was one way traffic at Callington, but at least the Eagles managed two goals, after failing to score last week.
There were no surprises at Mt Torrens either with Torrens Valley beating Sedan Cambrai by 308 points. Josh Hill kicked 13 and Mark Clayton ten in a very one-sided game. Corey Redden and Jesse Helbig were best for the former Mid Murray team

KERSBROOK BACK ON THE WINNERS LIST
TORRENS VALLEY STAY UNBEATEN
Reigning premier Kersbrook headed for Meadows keen to atone for last weeks loss to Torrens Valley. It started its Round 4 clash in style adding 8.3 to 4.1 to have a comfortable quarter time lead. The margin stayed at around four goals until Meadows made a surge in the last term adding 5.1 to 2.1 but it was too little to late, Kersbrook getting home by 12 points. For the victors, Skipper Paul James and Scott Carslake (4 goals) were best, for Meadows, skipper Chad Dawe (5 goals) was in fine touch, with Aaron Quinn and Mark McGuiness names in the clubs best.
Macclesfield and Nairne Bremer met with both teams looking for their first win since the opening round. The Rams took a narrow 2 point lead at half time, but Maccy drew away in the third term adding 5.2 to 2.1 to set up a handy lead at three quarter time. The Rams couldn’t make an impression on the scoreboard in the last term, adding 3.4 to 3.2 – Maccy home by 15 points. Best for the winners was Gavin Patman (5 goals) and Reg Reed, while for Nairne Bremer, Tom Lipetri and Chris Pfeiffer.
Echunga was on fire early in its match at Kangarilla, adding 8.6 to 1.1 at quarter time. The homeside battled on from there but the damage was well and truly done, Echunga winning by 72 points. Lachy Fleet nailed five goals, with Luke Tester and Brad White in the best. For the Roos, Che Marinsen and Michael Raidis were best.
The woes of Callington continued, as it failed to score against Torrens Valley who piled on 64.38. Ryan Byrne kicked 13 goals while Josh Hill and Mark Clayton kicked 11 apiece. For the Eagles, Jarrad Byrne and Jason Rehn tried hard in tough circumstances.
After a strong performance last week, Sedan Cambrai battled hard to keep up with Gumeracha, going down by 251 points. Mick Ashby did all the damage, kicking 16 goals to move to lead on the countryfooty.com.au SA goalkicking table with 34 for the season. For the Magpies, Ashley Klose and David Reichstein (2 goals) were best.

SEDAN/CAMBRAI HAVE FIRST WIN IN THE HILLS
HFL Country newcomers Sedan/Cambrai finally notched a win after being too good for Callington by 109 points. To the Eagles credit they stayed with Magpies in the first half, trailing by just 23 points. For Sedan/Cambrai, Callan Waye and Brad Hutchinson (4 goals) were best, while for the Eagles, Michael Conlan and Andrew Fidge were their better players.
Torrens Valley remains the only unbeaten side after a one point win at Kersbrook. The Cats led from the start, kicking 4.6 to 1.1 in the first term. Kersbrook ground their way back, but the visitors held on for a meritorious victory. Aaron Wingrove and Jarrad Byrne were best while for Kersbrook, Josh Moyle and Nathan Pearce were in the better players.
In the rounds other tight match, Meadows beat Nairne Bremer by 4 points. The Rams started well adding 5.0 to 2.1 in the first term but the visitors fought back in the second adding 4.5 to 1.3 to lead at half time by 3 points. Little separated the sides right to end with Meadows doing enough to record their first win of the season. Rohan Reid (5 goals) was very good for Meadows, while for Nairne/Bremer, Kym Heinrich and Cameron McFarlane played well.
Kangarilla were staring at defeat at half time at Gumeracha, the Magpies leading 5.16 to 2.1. The Roos took advantage of their good luck in the third and last terms, storming home in the final quarter, adding 8.6 to 1.3 to win by 23 points. Skipper Brett Wakefield led from the front, with Mitchell Young kicking six goals. For Gumeracha, who must have been disappointed not to have a bigger advantage at the main break, Matthew Prowse and Braden Hutt played well.
Echunga won their second game of the season with a 61 point win at home against Macclesfield. Brad White and Lachy Fleet were sharp up forward kicking four each, while for Maccy, Mark Jenner and Reg Reed played well.

GUMERACHA MAKES IT TWO FROM TWO
Gumeracha continued its excellent start to the season with a 36 point win over Macclesfield. It was a tight first half with Gumeracha holding a slight advantage at half time by 4 points. The second half was theirs as they added 9.5 to 4.3 to run out six goal victors.Michael Ashby was the start of the day kicking eleven goals, he was well supported by Braden Hutt and Matthew Prowse. For Maccy, Mark Jenner and Chris Homaly played well.
Echunga rebounded from last weeks opening round loss to record a 27 point win over Meadows. A powerful 8-goal second term was the difference in a high quality match where two key forwards dominated. Captain Jesse Edwards played well for Echunga as did Jordon Lyons who kicked seven goals. Meadows veteran skipper Chad Dawe was best kicking eight goals, with vice captain Andrew Minne also playing well
Torrens Valley showed why it is one the Premiership favourites, with a 64 point win against Nairne Bremer at Mt Torrens. After a tight first term, the homeside pulled away in the remaining three quarters adding 17.14 to 7.9. Josh Hill was superb, kicking ten goals for Torrens Valley with Anthony Cooper and Nathan McDowall also playing well. For the Rams, Josh Laube and skipper Clint Foster played well.
Sedan/Cambrai’s tough initiation into the competition continued as they were blown away by Kangarilla by 242 points. Josh Crichton and skipper Brett Wakefield were best for Kangarilla, who showed little mercy having 15 different goalkickers. Sedan/Cambrai managed at least goals in the second and final terms, their better players Corey Redden and skipper Ryan Johns, who both tried hard.
It was also another tough day for Callington, who were downed by Kersbrook by 301 points. Nathan Hart kicked 19 goals, skipper Paul James and Robert Nicholson their better players, Callington managed a goal in the first term but just a point in the last three. On the brighter side, they play fellow struggler Sedan/Cambrai next week, so hopefully there will be a win around the corner soon.

FOOTY UNDERWAY IN 2010
Gumeracha started the 2010 Hills Country season with a four point win over Meadows. They were on fire in the first half, kicking 12.3 to 5.3 to lead comforatably at half time. Meadows added five goals to two in the third term to peg them back and nearly pulled off a come from behind win, holding Gumeracha goalless in the last term. Brent Inkley and vice captain Braden Hutt were best for Gumeracha while for Meadows, David McAvoy and Sam Russell were best.

Torrens Valley were too good for Echunga winning by 38 points. The visitors matching it with their opponents for three quarters until Torrens Valley added 8.5 to 1.5 to get the victory in a dominant last term. Nathan McDowell and Yorke Peninsula recruit Ben Gunning were best for Torrens Valley, with Josh Hill kicking four goals. For Echunga, Craig Hall and Adam Edwards were best.

Kersbrook gave competition newcomers Sedan/Cambrai a tough initiation winning by 117 points at home. Matthew Gardner and Paul James were best for the reigning Premiers while Nathan Hart kicked 8 goals in a fine start to the season. For the Magpies in their first game after joining the League from the now defunct Mid Murray competition, Corey Redden and Nuriootpa recruit Craig McGorman were best, their only score coming from the boot of Callan Waye in the second term.

It was all one way traffic at Nairne, where the Rams beat Callington by 333 points. Matthew Rosier was best while Jeff Lines and Matthew Gale kicked seven goals apiece, giving Neil Hein a first up win in the new role as coach. For Callington, it was a very disappointing start to the season with Michael Conlan the only player to kick a goal for the game.

Macclesfield came from behind to beat Kangarilla by 26 points. Maccy trailed by 5 points at the long break before adding 6.7 to 2.2 in the third term which was the difference in the game. Chad Friend and Mitchell Young (5 goals) were best in a losing side.

This weeks round sees Callington hosting Kersbrook, Kangarilla and Sedan Cambrai both looking for their first win, Gumeracha travels to Macclesfield, Meadows play host to Echunga and Torrens Valley plays Nairne/Bremer at Mt Torrens Oval.

Agreed - it is a shame....

On the other hand how can you keep losing so badly weekly and not improve in 3 years?

Gosford was then kicked out of the competition the following week! Talk about pig s**t to strawberry jam and back to pig s**t.
