Pretty sure that this is the first time they all played together, and they managed the win ... I can't see that Fosdike has much of a future as a SFL player/coach though ... kicked a goal, yet he didn't give himself a vote!!!:D

... that T.Luff from the 'dogs might be a youngster to keep an eye on!:p

Well done Luffy (for the tend):thumbsu:.

I have long been an advocate of past players being PAID (even covertly by AFL) to play SFL... to raise the standard.

Even 10 years ago I am bloody sure I would get more than just a kick for Balmain!

That said, there are some bloody beauts.... comin through Pennant Hills Demons.;)

I must be his only fan around these parts...

The guy can definitely play, I was very, very disappointed when he was delisted. He has an inflated sense of his own abilities, and you can't have that at the Swans. That's probably part of the reason he was cut.

To be honest I really struggle to remember much of him, same with guys like Powell, Arnott, Bennett etc.

Well he was only about 170cm so it would be easy to miss him :D. I reckon he copped a lot of unfavourable first opinions because of
1. his small size
2. he was the guy that replaced Nick Davis when Davo was first dropped from the team.
3. he missed a set shot late in that debut game (against WC) that would have won the game.

I took a liking to him because he was a great reader of the play, and would get to the fall of the ball more often than not. Also had great strong hands for a man of his size and a wonderfully long run-up in his set shots. (very similar to TDL)

He's a much better player than Powell and Bennett, although Gerrard is one of my cult favourites. Arnott was before my time, but I know he won a Reserves B&F so he must have been good to a point.

Mentioned on the main board, Sean Dempster is about to play in his 4th grand final. Amazing stat given he has not played 100 games yet and when guys like Paul Williams wait over 290 games to get to play in 1.

In case anyone's interested in Ryan Brabazon:

Had a good season with the generally dominant Claremont side in the WAFL, playing in their losing Grand Final against Krakouer's Swan Districts. He was a very dominant possession winner all season. Has paid his own way to attend the draft combine this week, and finished 5th in the 20m sprint, 5th in the agility run, 9th in the running vertical jump.

We always knew he could find the ball and move well. He just seemed to lack that something that put it all together. Extraordinarily vanilla.
