Yes Veszpremi has plenty of upside, was only talking about Bevan who is a spud IMO.

Look i'm comfortable with the Everitt - Veszpremi trade if he has shown he has good enough attitude, but from what i've heard he has a poor one. I would have rather traded Everitt for a draft pick if his attitude is in fact poor.
 
With Everitt now gone, does anyone think we have a chance of getting Walker now?

I don't see it, I doubt we can match the Crows offer and I think were more keen on Sherman now.

I don't think we really need Walker anyway.

Hawks have confirmed interest in Josh Hill but no closer to a trade. What woud he be worth?
 
If we get DJ, Sherman on top of Vesz and we are getting a pre pick transfer from Suns for Minno I would only want a reasonable draft pick from the Hawks for Hill.

I cant think of anyone on the Hawks list of interest below their top tier players.
 
The Age had it they were offering Carl Peterson... if true, I'd rather Josh.

EDIT: Just read the article. It says Hooper and Peterson seems to be on the outer and they're looking at Josh for their replacement. OOPS!
 
We may now miss out on Sherman as Sydney has offered Brisbane pick#21, which we can't beat. We may have to use the compensation pick from the Gold Coast on someone else or keep it for a later draft.
 
Fantasia still seems confident and the fact that Sherman wants to come to us does sway things in our favour. We could always package it with an extra late pick or fringe player, too. I wouldn't be too concerned at this point...

Sherman has said he will be at either Brisbane or the Bulldogs next year, ruled out Sydney completely.

Maybe as an act of good faith we can upgrade their 5th rounder to our 4th, something more symbolic than practical?
 
Well I still think we can get him because he wants to come to us, I thought Sydney would have backed off if we did Everitt for Ves :(, maybe we can swap the late pick we got from Sydney to Geelong for Djek and it turns out Ves and DJek for Everitt, that sounds alot better!

Haha, onya Sherman, that $400K contract should get us over the line then, because the Lions sure as hell need the cap space.
 
it's really heartening to hear players state that they WANT to play for the dogs, something that is become a somewhat more common occurance in the last few years. A testament to the club and the way it has resurrected itself!

I don't get why teams persist with chasing them especially after the fact they have said were they want to go. Sydney can offer Brisbane all they want but the player does have to agree with it.
