Seems like a strange trade, given that Grigg was uncontracted and Collins was contracted.

Trading generally doesn't work this way. Clubs don't want to burn bridges else it might bite them down the track.
Besides, with Richmond keen on Houli, this opens the door for you to pick him if he walks into the PSD.

dude if it comes down to the issue being looking in the mirror, i am confident that the dimma will be cracking that mirror on day one.
Forget the other nuff nuffs, its a good deal. Andy is smart and can be developed, Grigg is the same. the end.

The Australian says that it was a straight swap. We better have gotten some pick as an extra or something. We gave away a decent young contracted player for a bloke who many reckon doesnt have good disposal- who was also uncontracted and whom we could have gotten for nuffin! Thats why Im disappointed. On the surface its a shocking trade!
Grigg if developed correctly is a better player than Andy Collins, a pick upgrade and Jacobs in the PSD would be nice.

Collins was only in his second year of playing? When was the last time we traded a player without giving them a chance to develop? Don't use duds either, because Collins is in our best 22

Collins has been here since the 2006 draft. The journo hasn't done his research. He didn't play a senior game until 2009, but that's more to do with Terry being an idiot than Collins not being good enough.
That's why I said 2nd year of playing, he was a very late draft pick and needed time before he could stand up at AFL level. Every season he has improved and is loved by players and coaches... Do not understand this..Hopefully it is a sick joke

man the coach wants grigg, he had to give away Andy to get him. i.e. we tick a box where we are wanting to build strength and give away a player where we just might have cover for. FFS, read the cards

lets just relax, collins is good, btu hes not setting the world on fire and he was very inconsistent this year, i think grigg has more upside. also we will get a pick improvement as part of the trade, for example: in the ideal world, grigg and pick 18 for collins and pick 29 (compensation pick), or more realistically grigg and pick 36 for collins and pick 46

The point isn't that it was Collins the point is we didn't need to give anything at all. Grigg stated he wanted to play for us we could have done what luke ball did or the psd this makes zero sense their must be more to it! We must be after someone else and we must have a psd plan

Yes I am aware he was drafted in 06, anyone who saw the kid at that stage would not have expected him to play a game in 07 or 08...WAS STILL A KID..

dude, you said it yourself. At the end of the day all points lead to us having the upper hand in the Grigg deal no? So are we going to sit here and suggest that all of a sudden, after a nice steady build up from the start of the season, plans put forward, blue prints to success, we being ****ed from all angles, climbing out of the abyss that had the media moving hard on us being ****ed, that after all that, we would move without any calculated plan? I will say it again, have faith in the plan. So far they havent BSed us.
