Thanks for the memories Max Rooke

One of the toughest players in the game ever. He was the spiritual leader of the club. But unfortunately his career is over due to his knees. This happens often when players like this put their body on the line week in and week out.

He played 135 games with 2 premiership medals to his name. His quirky off field personality also won him many fans.

Best of luck for the future Max. Geelong Legend!

Sad to see good players go out with injuries. Geelong really missed him this year, and will miss him next year. He was brilliant in the Grand Final last year, and was a bit unlucky not to win the Norm Smith. Good luck to him.

Not the most conventional player in the world but he was certainly very effective. I reckon his most remembered moment will probably be him dribbling through the goal after the final siren in the 2009 Granny and saving TAB's bacon.

To be fair in 97 Shane Ellen kicked 5 goals in a GF, that performance was highly overated in comparison to his abilities....and yes Adealide also would of lost that game if Ellen didn't play.Plus your also talking about a GF involving St Kilda where history shows theres free and cheap accolades available in plentiful porportions against them!
