West Indies in maroon looks wrong... doesn't go with their skin tone.
Brendan Nash says hi.

I prefer the days when WI wore predominantly grey, e.g. 1988-89, 1991-92, 1992-93. Given that NZ have gone from grey to black, grey is now free for WI.
Can't say I agree with you there. It's their traditional cap colour; though the Aussies are the exeption to this preference given the amount of said green.
NZ still wear grey/silver with gold and black trimmings in T20s (not as good as teal or beige :D)

Netherlands wearing orange = awesome. :)
Would they wear anything else?

Didn't the Banglers wear red at some stage?
Not that I'm aware of - didn't they become part of the bigger picture just after the 1999 WC (they wore green there too)?
Zimmers were always red/green, sometimes black and yellow as well.

Just wondering, did guernsey numbers in Aussie Rules ever correspond with field positions?

No, they were first used in 1903 in a promotional game in Sydney between Fitzroy & Collingwood to distinguish players.
The 1911 Finals were the first time they were used in a regular game in Victoria.
Basically it was only used to identify players, and some clubs listed their players alphabetically. (Adams would have been #1, Anderson 2 etc.) while others gave players choices based on seniority (Captain picked his number, then Vice Captain, then by games played).
Dave Smith of Essendon was officially the first player to wear a number onto a ground, he was #13.
Vin Gardiner of Carlton kicked the first goal, he was the other #13.

Thanks for that Mero, was something I'd often wondered given the seemingly random nature of the numbers when viewed by a newcomer!

My name is Kyle and Paint keeps crashing.

**hello Kyle**.

I have Windows Vista. I'm able to import template designs, but after a few minutes, it starts lagging. I'll go to fill in a colour, and my computer will freeze for a few seconds, then Paint will freeze up completely (whilst other windows work fine).

Does anyone know how to fix this?

*sigh* Mero's; Word; Black&White... n00b

:p

Hey, not so fast - the new Office 2010 only allows you to change images to 75% Black and White maximum. It pisses me off and still leaves some image noise in many places. If anyone knows of a workaround, please let me know.

The new Office is ****ing annoying

Mero's jumpers aren't a perfect match for the templates... and would he really want us pillaging his designs like that? :D

Yeah I know it's all cool

Yeah, cos no-one else on the internet has ever used any of my images without permission/recognition.

Fairfax Media, Fremantle Media, Herald Sun, AFL I'm talking about you.

My website, and images are designed to be an historial record, and are can be used by all.
However, if you want to use them for commercial purposes, contact me and we can split the money you make from them.(Which has never actually happened, ever)

Link to when they've used it?

I thought you can't put logos on jumpers/shirts etc? Or is that just footyjumpers.com?

Images on permanent display cannot have the logos, imges that are for demonstration/short term use are allowed.
So if you want to show what a Hawthorn jumper looks like with sponsor logos, that is acceptable, so long as the intention is there for other threads to replace it, and for it o eventually disappear.
My site, on the other hand is designed to be a permanent record.

Yeah I like the fact that you see the jumper and notice the jumper changes other than the logos changing and over riding the jumper changes. Surely if we wanted w can have no logos on the left then info in the center and thn logo jumper on the right. Deends on what the use will be for I suppose

Tennis ball green for Melbourne Victory clash next season. Roar to be orange and black. Jets to have a Barca-like home shirt and a Juve like away shirt.

Perth Glory are going to have an Arsenal designed third shirt.

This is all fact. I've seen photographic proof of the first three, the third is from the mouth of the person who has shown said photos.
