I have been checking back on Eastbay.com for weeks but the Gel Nimbus i want are never in stock. They are on the site for $60 odd!!!!! Maybe thats why they are not in stock.

Need to go and get a pair of shoes tonight. I am having pain in my knee and left leg which I have never had before, so I think it is time for a replacement. (new orthotics as well).

I do a lot of interval training, some endurance and kick boxing, but still don't know whether to get cross trainers or runners.

FWIW, I have broad feet (considering I am only little, I find it a bit weird), so I went with New Balance. Most comfortable runners I have ever owned. Have had them for 8 years (though in that time I wasn't using them for working out). But the last year since joining my fitness group, they have copped a fair pounding and now it is time to say goodbye.

Kinda sad in a way.

Lol, they are only shoes Jaqui. Must say I've never felt sentimental over throwing out a pair of runners. :p

Anyway, Kayanos are on their way! Should be here in a week...

Also found out my bf's dad got a new pair of Kayanos recently and paid.. wait for it... $320 for them.

Kayanos are overrated and I've had 3 pairs.
How the he'll did he pay $320 for a pair?the absolute most I've ever seen them for is $277 & that only lasted a week!

I used to wear Nike when I was younger, but when I got a job in a sports store, the people there changed me to Asics, so yeah Asics ever since. Kayanos I usually get. They last for ages. :thumbsu:

Same, used to wear Nikes but after the shoeman recommended Asics, I gave them a try and now thats my first choice.

I have no idea- I was insisting $270 was about the regular price for them, but he insisted that is what he paid for them. Ridiculous imo- wouldnt pay that much for a pair of shoes period.

Cant wait to get my new pair. Will be like walking on air...

Went a pair of New Balance and already feel better. My running technique is much better and the pain through my knee and leg has gone.

*still heading to the physio, but shoes seem to have been the problem.

I train around four times a week in kickboxing, running, weights, interval and circuit work, so I have been recommended to change shoes every six months

I bought the Keyano 16s last month but due to my foot type, they were not as comfortable as I hoped. No good if your ankles roll outwards. So now I mow the lawn in them and wear them in the gym thats about it.

I got the Gel Nimbus last week and they are perfect. Should have paid more attention to what I was doing from the start I guess.

Sale on tomorrow at the JK's city store. Buy any Asics shoe and receive a 2nd pair free.

All along was going to get the Gel nimbus and now might get the Kayanos as the free pair as well. Gotta hope they have both in my size.

yeah, aparently the kayano's are good if you've got flat feet (the arch support prevents you from rolling inwards), and the gel nimbus if you've got a high arch (has more cushioning as rolling outwards leads to more shock on your knees)...

i've got a high arch but still went for the kayano's cause the gel nimbus are fugly shoes...they don't feel all that great, but they've still got good enough cushioning, i wouldn't wear em to cut the grass... you guys are crazy

I ended up getting Mizuno's. Apparently they are huge in America for specific sporting shoes and they are now branching out onto running shoes. So far so good and they are easily the lightest shoe ive had.

Weigh next to nothing.

****ing hate the quality of running shoes lately. bought a pair of Nike's that were similar to my previous ones (they lasted probably 18 months or more) then at my first cricket training I blew out threw the front whilst bowling. Took them back; got a refund and bought Asics instead. Same thing happened with these at my first training session in them. This time however at the store they wouldn't give me a refund; said "I had cut them?" Because I love having no runners to wear right?

Anyway they got sent of to the manufacturer and I haven't heard back for about 10 days...

Might need cross trainers; if only they weren't also big and ugly.

Dw, you will get a replacement or credit from the manufacturer. I used to work at a sports shop- the time i was there, i think only a couple pairs ever got rejected.

What's the cheapest website to buy Kayano 17's from????

Mizuno have been been around for over 30 years, Carl Lewis used to run in them. I've had them before, around 7 years ago. The Wave technology is pretty good, as you said very light.
