Why is ustream so choppy, I have fast internet and fast computer?

It's the streaming technology - quick and dirty way to deliver live content, cheap and easy so Richmond/Crows can stream their game without huge OB vans, but that's it - quality crap. Every extra viewer (and there were less than 600) makes it worse. What's good nowdays is it doesn't give up and drop out - it just freezes and waits to catch up.

Doesn't matter how good your stuff is, what's coming in is the problem.

Whatever, I LOVED the fact that I could watch and listen to the game, even if the quality was bad.

Shame about the stream. Amusing call from fiveAA though. Ronald-dal-dinio :thumbsu:

Is there any place we can view detailed stats for the game (if they're even recorded)?

By the way: Great game, boys! :D

Reminded me of the way we played late last year against the top teams. We will be inconsistent with so many young players, but when we are on we will be up there with the best.

Not changing my sig yet!

I was at the game, and just want to make a quick note that richmond didn't really look like they were trying. We used our interchange like we would on a proper game, midfielders rotating every couple of minutes.
By comparison, richmond didn't appear to be using their bench much, really treating it like a warm up, rather than a 'round zero' like most clubs.

In really not sure how fit mckay is either.he came off part way into the third quarter and he was stuffed, thought he was injured the way the doc was walking with him.

Now onto the dons v pies

Perfect in the 1st and 4th quarters, and then ordinary to ok in the middle 2 quarters. If we can improve those middle 2 quarters this year, we will definetley be a threat.:thumbsu: Tex with 7 against a slightly above average backline, Knighta with 3 in the last and Reilly a couple.

No injuries, Vince and Knights getting more gametime into them and improving are the two main positives for me though.

Bring on the Hawks!!

I highly doubt they weren't trying, they put close to a full squad out there today and their supporters expected a competitive showing (which they got in parts). We are just a lot better than they are, simple. Hardwick also sounded pissed off going by radio commentary.

I must admit I find it hard to get excited about any of Walker performances. If Tippett and especially McKernan kicked 7 there would be a fair bit of movement sth of the border.....but Walker, meh.....

IMO you have to respect the opinion of someone who was at the game over listening to the Rowie/McDermott barracking session.

But we did smash em on the score board. Save for some (still:mad:) poor set shot conversion it was a pumping. A great confidence booster after last week. Good lead up to round 1.

Fair enough, but Richmond put close to a full side out there today, bar maybe Cotchin. It would be highly unlikely for a team not to try in their final practice game before the season, Richmond just aren't a great side yet.

Thanks for that! As long as it's not just me missing out that's ok. I am sure in a few years it will be as good as the tv.

pretty pleased with today, a real good note to finish pre-season

the positives from today
- Walker's form
- more game time into Vince, Knights, Porplyzia, VB and Tambling

the positive from pre-season
- we have found 2 more players in SMACK and Smith

compare with this time last year we have every right to feel a lot more confident heading into round 1

bring it on :thumbsu:
