Re: Round 6 Trades

Bit stuck with my team. Only used the one trade, but I don't really have anyone worth downgrading yet (Otten to Thompson being the only potential downgrade). I don't have Petrie though, but not sure he's worth bringing in. Probably not going trade, not enough money in bank to do anything.

Re: Round 6 Trades

Anyone have any thoughts on who I should get between Sylvia or J Roo? Thanks in advance

Both should average a similar amount. JR will have a higher ceiling, CS will have more consistency. Personally I'll go for Sylvia to avoid the rollercoaster you'll get with Jack.

Re: Round 6 Trades

Need some advice on my rucks.

Sandilands, Z.Smith,Petrie,J.Trengove.

Thinking I should downgrade 1 of them to B.McCauley for the cash.

Who of the above 3 is not likely to rise much more in value.

Petrie most likely to score well & keep rising.

Probably Trengove. Most expensive, and while he scored well last week, it was against the Gold Coast.

Re: Round 6 Trades

I'd definitely take Scott Thompson out of those two. Adelaide have a pretty easy schedule, and he's proven to be a premium in the past. This may be Martin's break out year, but more likely is that coaches will start to adapt to him and his scores drop off over the second half of the year.

Thanks. I'm kinda wary about Dustin Martin and possible 2nd year blues, but he doesn't seem to be showing any signs yet! Scott Thompson is quite consistent, reliable and very unique, but I'm still kinda leaning towards Dustin Martin especially with his low break-even of 20 and future price increases. Either way Boak has to be traded out, so I may have to toss a coin :p

Re: Round 6 Trades

im thinking of going; Duigan to Hibberd & krakouer to J.Roo
that’d leave me with;
Gibbs, Goddard, Deledio, Adcock, Grimes, Heppell, Stanley (Broughton, Lower, Toy)
Swan, Judd, Curnow, Swallow, higgins, atley (bewick, hibberd, selwood)
cox, z. smith (sandi, tippet)
Riewoltd, J. Riewoltd, Darling, Tapscott, Nahas, Petrie, Matera (richardson, Buddy, S. johnson)
and 19 trades left…
i think J roo is too good to pass up at that price … richardson, bewick are worrying me …
will hopefully get mzungu/callinan for richardson later and swap higgins back to FWDS …
Any thoughts?

Re: Round 6 Trades

I have a few options that I am thinking of -

A) Broughton > Pederson and Krakeour > J.Riewoldt

B) Broughton > Pederson and Conka > Boyd

C) Broughton > Pederson and next week Conka > Selwood

Whats the best option do you think?

Current mids and forwards are -

M - Swan, Judd, Dal Santo, Curnow, Swallow, Harris (Libba, Conka, Hibberd)

F - N.Riewoldt, Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, Higgins, Krakeour, Petrie (Tapscott, Matera, Richardson)

Thoughts?

Re: Round 6 Trades

Won't you need a backup for Leuenberger?

Clark would keep playing CHF wouldn't he?

Clark was playing CHF/ruck rotation before Broc came in, much the same as Stefan Martin (defense/ruck) or Hawkins (forward/ruck) given the new sub rule. Leuenberger was rucking 3/4s of each quarter, with Clark rucking the last five minutes or thereabouts of each.

Re: Round 6 Trades

I don't know who your source is but they suck...He could be straight back after the bye.

They were reporting what the hawks medical staff thought or "feared". Still i haven't actually done any trade yet. My thinking was based on the cash price changes of the players involved, (krakouer, fyfe, petrie, riewoldt, richardson).

If damage is "minor" bleeding , then i will not trade rioli but it does not bode well since hamstring can occur again. I have just enough cash for richo to petrie so i could hold off on rioli to riewoldt and pay 50k more for riewoldt.

i am hesitant to trade until the teams are named this week since heppell/stanley/otten (rested/suspended/dropped) and lower missing might force me trade one of them for l.thompson to avoid 1 donut with heppel mpp'ing to the mids.

still 20 trades left but no riewoldt  .......

Re: Round 6 Trades

Judd_Magic, Mark Harvey has said on radio that Broughton will be right for the Richmond game in 2 weeks. Herald Sun has got it wrong.
thats good news, already traded out 1 so called premium in Bruce dont want to have to trade another.

my question is Cam Richardson straight swap for Jumping Jack got money left over from the Bruce trade

My thinking is with that 11 to his name he is going to take to long to get maximum value out of considering he is close to being dropped/rested.

Re: Round 6 Trades

What are everyones thoughts on Yarran > JRoo?

Don't think i was ever going to keep Yarran for the whole year, but was hoping he was going to make some cash for me to make it easier to get a fallen premium. But Yarran's 3 weeks of 100+ a flash in the pan? Or could he get up to and maintain at least a 90+ avg for the year?

This is probably as cheap as JRoo is ever going to be for this season with a very low B/E and Yarran has a fairly high one at 102.

cam richardson works really hard but he looked seriously out of his depth even when he scored well a couple of weeks ago. he will be dropped until north lose even more games and then get a recall. north is not safe other than swallow/harvey, even goldstein or petrie might lose their spot over poor form this season.

cam bruce is no longer a premium and looked useless and disinterested against geelong. he is playing like how leon davis played last year. i got davis at 350k thinking he was cheap and he ended up at 250k at one point.

The same applies to bruce this year, avoid him like the plague. even if someone wants to buy him, its better when he's gained some form and $$ rather than when he bottoms out.

If you can do it in one trade mate, I'd highly recommend doing so.

Picked JRoo up last week and netted 136.

Not saying he'll produce that every week, but the kid doesn't need a ton of ball to post 90+.

Compare that to Yaz who, despite posting a couple of 100+ games, still has a lot of uncertainty hanging over his head, in terms of SC.

Definitely considering it. True about not needing a lot of possie to score big. 4.0 from 5 possessions and scored 76 or so the other week didn't he? Can do in 1 trade and pocket 15k or so in the process as well. :D:thumbsu:

I am also having this argument with myself.

I amm not sure what to do tbh, with Yarran likely to miss and an upcoming bye I am torn.

But JRoo doesn't grab me you know?

I'm also in the same boat. Another positive for me is that it allows me to upgrade Krak to Higgins, which wouldn't have been possible without that extra cash, so I think I will end up doing it. However I'm worried about his inconsistency and that Richmond are not a great team. Chances are my trades this round will be:

Yarran to JRoo
Krak to Higgins

However I might consider downgrading Warnock to the young Broc and having Smith cover for a while, allowing me to upgrade Krak to a Watson or Moloney.

exactly the same dilemma here backman; Richardson + cash > JRoo

Don't whether to wait a week or two for a premium upgrade or do JRoo. He is inconsistent the way I hate - 50 s and 150 s. I d rather have a consistent 100 player.

I may have to do this trade or a donut. Supercoach is at a very stressful stage. LOL

Re: Round 6 Trades

Lots of un-answered Petrie queries on this thread.
Ive missed the first pay hike but it worth jumping on him, (for Richardson) I would imagine Petrie would be a little more consistent and reliable then my current rookie forwards of Darling, Matera, C Dixon, Mckernan, Prestia. Hate making the mistake of which one to start each week. besides Richardson they all have $$ to make.

Also lots of doubts about McCauley's JS, however he will rise this week.. as opposed to my current R4 Derickx.. who I haven't heard anything about since the pre-season hype.. Not sure if i should waste a trade here, as rucks are solid with Cox,Sandi and Z Smith..

Any thoughts??
