2. Players not monitored during pre-season re injuries. This is a sign of poor management.

3. Players deciding that they do want to play over in Perth because they cant hack the plane trip. FFS if you cant handle the plane trip you should not be playing any footy full stop. This is a sign of poor management.

FACT. The money was stolen from the club without the knowledge of the board or administration, not mis-handled or mis-managed. Hence the Vic Police Fraud squad is investigating, and charges will be laid. The said person stole and lost it on gambling and it has not been "accounted for" from this person, so much as the compulsory AFL fraud insurance policy paid out the club in Jan.

I don't think anyone is offering any excuses or defending anyone in particular. We're all peed off.

On your methodology, should Smorgon then take the plaudits for a premiership win, and not the players or coach?

Further, I just don't understand how you can attribute acts of various independent minds/people to one CEO? Yes, he is remotely (but ultimately) responsible (along with the entire Board of Directors) for the appointment of certain individuals, but shouldn't the blame stop there?

The fact is, but for Smorgon (and other key individuals), the Western Bulldogs would not exist in its current form. He's played an important role in manipulating politicians to get funding, putting respectability back into our financials, improving facilities and attracting corporate sponsors.

It's easy to sit back and take pot shots after a bad result.

Also, if your info is not coming from club press releases, and that your sources are closer to the club than we may think (or however you put it), then explain why your "sources" should be trusted over any other poster's sources.

Many people here claim to have "inside knowledge" merely to try to validate their claims and/or inflate their ego. Yes, it is easy to be critical of you, because your claims are, in my opinion, outlandish and ill-informed.
