You're always a very measured poster Larrikin - not sure where you got that stat from - he had 62% disposal efficiency for the game and most of his disposals were in contested situations and handballs. I thought he was clearly our best. One of few who had the ability to find space or to put teammates into space.
That was the stat they were quoting on MMM at the game

Sorry to do an E87 - and I'm not sure how he finished, but Priddis had a 25% kicking efficiency by late in the 3rd... At the game I thought he had minimal impact, will be interesting to see the replay
I saw a lot of great clearances and lots of fighting efforts. I thought he was fantastic. Played a lone hand in a team that got beat. (FWIW Kerr was quite good too)
I was at the game and whilst he was servicable and he was probably our best midfilder on the day that is not a good thing for the team overall. If he was 4th or 5th best midfielder then our team would have done a lot better

Also for those praising his balking it may have looked great on TV but those at the game would have noticed that it actually was to the detriment of his teammates down the line. It wrong footed pretty much every forward positioning themselves to be the outlet option and by the time he kiceked it the kick ended up being a turnover. :(
Well, Banky, he seemed to be the one in the middle of every scrum/contest. Was very busy and industrious. From what I saw he was great getting the ball out. Fancy or not.

5. Priddis - Captain everywhere
4. Lynch - Seemed to be at the epicentre of our disastrous bomb it long mantra yesterday.
3. Kennedy - Must be sore today
2. Kerr - for the amount of footy hes missed he really tried to lift us.
1. raffle.

I am not saying that he was no good. In fact I said he was our best midfielder for the day and he probably deserved lots of the love that he is getting. My point is that compared to Collingwood midfielders and some of the elite midfilders in the competition he was above average rather then elite.

I am not arguing that he should not be in the side and would like to note that he and to an extent Kerr were able to maintain their usual performnce standard against mature and more developed Collingwood midfield whilst our younger players struggled. That however I see as a function of time and over next few years players like Schuey, Sheppard, Gaff etc will mature and be able to handle such sustained pressure.

Unlike E87 I still see a role for him in our squad in say three years time though in my view Priddis will need to evolved further. He will need to continue to be a clearance specialist but will also need to put his body on the line and block for players like Schuey and Gaff to allow them space to be creative and damaging with their possessions. He will also have to become more accountble for his man. If he can evolve into such a player then I see nothing but positives for our squad.

I couldnt give a vote for Cox today. The amount of times he tapped the ball to a Collingwood players chest in the first half when the game was still up for grabs was ludicrous and I have no doubt he will get a dressing down from Woosha on it.

5) Lynch- When the game was in the balance he was outstanding.
4) Priddis- Alot of junk time possesions and really had minimal impact
3) Kennedy- kick 3 goals when he was basically double teamed the whole day.
2) Cox- Tried his guts out and was the dominant ruckman on the day.
1) Scott Selwood- Kept Swan quiet and when he went to Daisy he cut his influence as well.

DM- M.LeCras- Becoming a seagull looking for easy possies and goals, he needs to find that hardness he had last year.
A.Smith- Looks like a deer caught in headlights needs to move and think quicker.
Naitanui- Still lack confidence when kicking and Collingwood knew this, they gave him many options to kick but he chose the Hospital Handpass insted.
Selection Commitee- NO flipping HAMS why oh why would you leave a hard ass out of the team when we are playing the reigning premiers. He could have taken Leon Davis and also kept the ball inside our forward 50.

Not having a good run there EA

As a result, emerging midfielder Adam Guglielmana goes out of the team with a lower leg injury and Ashton Hams found himself suspended for two weeks

4) Priddis- Alot of junk time possesions and really had minimal impact

Priddis had 13 possesions in the second quarter, ie the quarter we were most threatening in so to say he got them in junk time shows you weren't paying attention

If you're looking for your Priddis discussion it has been moved, once again, to the Priddis thread.

It will becoming obvious to the astute observers that I'm getting rather tired of every votes thread becoming a war between the pro-Priddis and anti-Priddis camps, in which the same posters make the same points that they made the previous week.

You can of course discuss Priddis' performance in the match and whether he is or is not deserving of votes for that match, as with any other player. But when the discussion moves, as it inevitably does every week, to his role in general and whether we should be playing him ahead of youngsters and so on, just take it to the Priddis thread. Where you will no doubt find that you made a very similar post just a week earlier.

Next week, I will not be moving the offending posts, I will just be deleting them.

Thankyou.

What about those in the Priddis neutral camp?

I say banzhammer all of us
