Thanks for that roartig,very little rain today and a strong breeze blowing...ideal drying conditions.
Despite that doubt Bucasia will come up as is a terrible grond and just an old rubbish dump that has never been any good for football.
Hope you guys give the Hawks some curry. :thumbsu:

Actually Bucasia ground is coming along nicely but still not ready for a few weeks.

Andergrove v Bakers will be at Bakers.

Had to work on Saturday but not too keen on Etwell Park with the ferals.
Probarbly dissapear into a giant pot-hole.
Read that Robbie Philp was in best players for home team...he would just about be eligible for the aged pension. ;)

Its been pretty quite on here lately guys!

At this stage it looks a two horse race, Hawks & Saints.

I hear Bakers Creek have forfeited their game against Whitsunday tomorrow up at Airlie, things a looking doom'n'gloom for Bakers unfortunatetly.

Whitsunday would be dirty too im tipping, due to lost revenue from not having a home game, which is important for clubs survival.

Word on the street is that some of Hawks recruits that impressed in games thus far have packed up and gone home? Will bring them back to the pack abit if true.

Was reading the local paper today and saw the AFL Mackay results in tiny microscopic print alongside the Dog results from Dapto...
included amongst the goalkickers for newboys Andergrove Kangas was the name B.Goodwin[6]...surely that can't be the same guy?...ex basketballer that played for Hawks in the last century? :cool:

Yes old boy thats the same Barry Goodwin that played with Hawks in 97-2001.
Played in two flags & won a league goal kicking with the Hawks back then.

Very handy pick up for the Roos at this stage of the year.
1ST game in ten years and bags a lazy six sausage rolls!
Can't wait til the big fella gets fitter!
6'5 & 120kilo= A defenders nightmare!

He started working at the same company as me last August.
I'd been trying to get him to the Roos after the first day we met and finally last thursday, 8 months later, he rings me up and said he was gunna come to training!
Who said persistance doesn't pay off!

More like Michael Roach & Brian Taylor in one!

Spoke to a main umpire after last weeks game, he informed me that no umpires turn up ton there supposable training/get together Monday nights, there is no umpire adviser or manager.
So what help have we got in them improving when there is no one to steer the ship.
Not only do some clubs need assistance from the League but so do the Umpires.

I had a look at the games coming up this weekend and your guys play Moranbah.
What are the chances of Goodwin booting into double figures?
Or will the wiley old playing coach be demanding the ball inside 50 ? :D

Once the BIG FELLA gets fitter & and more match conditioned im confident he'll kick a dozen in a game b4 the season ends!

I haven't played much inside 50 this season, playing up the ground more to help out the young guys & 1st gamers, but l still demand the ball no matter what position l play!

You will have to book it in your diary to come and watch Swans v Roos next Saturday at Rogers oval, should be a ripper!
Possibly the two teams fighting for fourth spot.

WTF, no evidence of any local football being played here over the weekend!The local rag we all know couldn't give a rats arse about our game..too busy drooling over the bum sniffers and local soccer divers. :eek:
The disgrace is that none of the well paid AFL Qld employees could get out of their comfort zones and supply some sort of report.
What a waste of money and resources they are. :confused:

I agree, they are here to promote AFL in Mackay so you would reckon they would form a relationship with the Daily Mercury sport journo's to get as much exposure as possible.
When i approached them and expressed my opinion they said it was up to the clubs, talk about passing the buck!

Big Bazza didnt kick double figures but Muzza kicked 20!

You should pop down to Rogers oval this weekend old boy & watch the Swans host the Roos, should be a ripper with the Swans not wanting loose against their x coach.

Can honestly say i've never heard of that till now.

I've played against about 6 of my former clubs, its like water off a ducks back to me by now.

It can actually work in my favour because if all the attention is around them targeting me and their mind is off the game, that distraction alone could cost them the game.
Im expecting some late contact so look out for a few 50m penalties being milked!
