Gee this looks like a huge loss. At home against the Eagles with a chance to lock the top 4 and are 5 goals down in the last. Didn't expect this. Is this a mixture of people getting too excited about Carlton too early and a lot of people just not expecting WCE to be as good as they are? WCE have had ten extra shots at goal so maybe the score line is flattering the Blues. Interesting result in the scheme of the season. Your thoughts?

Carlton over hyped as usual. Still have a few downhill skiers in that team and Judd kept very quiet = the blues struggling.

But the eagles are looking very nice indeed.

I don't think its about carlton being overrated, carlton are a damn good side who have played awesome footy legit finals contender. west coast are just scary good on there day and can smoke anyone if theyre playing there best footy.

Bit hard to win when the matchups in the backline clearly destroyed us. The MC got that wrong that's for sure and they'll regret the team we fielded today. Also Jamison going down early in the first (I know he kept playing but was cleary hurt) really hurt us.

We have been outplayed by a good side - if people thought we were incapable of having this happen to us, or that we would not lose another match for the year then yes they overrated us.

Injuries also finally caught up to us, but should be getting a few back next week.

Anyone would think that they thought Woosha still worked for them and asked him for some selection advice. It was evident pretty early on that they horribly unbalanced.

Yep, don't think they're quite there yet. Good side and definitely improving, but not about to be cherry ripe until 2012 I reckon.

West Coast, however, showing that 2010 was an abberation in much the way 2006 was for Geelong. Not saying it's an Eagles flag, but their progression from 2009 to 2011 just had a blip along the way.

Probably going to see a Carlton-Eagles GF in 2012.

If the Blues tip out of the top 4 it's hard to see it not being a Coll v Geel GF. Hawks, as good as they have been, will miss their key position players come September. WC you would think would win their first final in Perth but struggle to get over either Geelong or Colingwood at the MCG in a prelim.

They havent beaten a good side apart from Sydney, they have a soft draw now though so they should still make the top 4.

They could sure do with Kennedy right now though, Kennedy will punish Carlton for years to come after they made the catastrophic error of looking short term in obtaining Judd.
