Maybe you can give us a clue Murph - from the Umpires, Supporters or Opponents?

If he is an ump then fair enough if he can't comment. Just thought the game got out of hand a bit due to some of the tatics of the ub backmen. Play on though

Brian, I agree that the new skob brigade look equal or better than some of the ones out thru injury- Simpson gia exceptions

Could this b the year skob go up to a grade?

If Oak beat UB this week its goodnight UB, and HELLO Oakleigh.

Do not dismiss Oaks for major influence over next few weeks and with their last game against Marcelln so they could be in the box seat for 4th spot & 3rd is possibility.

if they get in they could be the surprise packet of the finals.

Only thing against OB is their feral coaching box - if they are not having a go at the opposition, their own players then they have a go at each other. Seen then 3 times this year and I'm getting a feeling they just don't like each other.

HOLD THE PRESS a news release by the great man Barney on the Leader website, and I quote "Hampton Rovers coach Russell Barnes said last week the return of Carr, Turner and Terech would steer his side away from relegation from B Grade"

OMG - could this be the most outlandish statement ever in relation to the VAFA or is the great man working up an impossible finish to the season.

Ok, now lets check the fixture, if St Bernards are on 5 wins then HR would have to win at least 5 of their remaining games and Snowdogs go winless between now and end of year.

Hampton play:

Oakleigh (50/50)
Beaumaris (30/70)
Marcellin (50/50)
St Bernards (30/70)
Caulfield (0/100)
UBlacks (30/70)

mmm, I want to be on board Barney but I just don't know how you are going to manage it, I can't see you winning more than 1 or 2 games at the most between now and end of the year but I'm sure your comments will reverberate with all clubs on 5-6 wins.

What you need though is for all HR posters on BF to get behind the club and pick them to win, wouldn't want to exhibit any unfaithful supporters/officials in your golden quest.

Good luck!

CC

Ok just so there are no more takers on HR staying up, as the bloke that sold my shop last week..."are you all done, GOING, GOING, GAWN!"

Lose to Oakleigh on the weekend has certainly shut the shop now and HR down to C Grade for 2012.

However great to see the club still pumping to the last minute with this outstanding effort on Saturday posted in the media

"The score of 15.7 was the Rovers highest of the season and we kicked the most goals of any B section side on Saturday"

CONGRATULATIONS HR, well done.

(talk about scraping the barrel for some good news, phew!)

I thought symon was their best
and I thought number 50 in magoos is a heeley aswell

pazzo, I'm assuming your a man of the cloth, can u comment on the treatment
the st bernards chf got yesterday....?

Nah I can't..but I figured you knew that already as you alluded to in a latter post (thanks for that BTW).

What I can say is that the tense nature of the last couple of weeks could see even more physicality across the grade - us umps might have a fair bit of work to do....

On a better note, Murph, what chance Paddy Harris making his way into the seniors at some stage? Is there a spot for him?

Word on the grapevine is that I may be independently assessing the scoring at a certain B Section crunch game next weekend. Interesting!

No tips chart this week, I'm away.
