I was thinking the same. Why couldn't Tex come out and say he wants to be a crow a couple of months ago when all this speculation that he was going to GWS started?

Just wouldnt have been smart for him in terms of his contract talks. He always held all the cards. Now he is holding less cards but his hand has been forced somewhat by Phil.

yeah no individual player would really warrant it except Sam Reid and that would be robbing peter to pay paul.

Paul Bevan, Jarrad Moore and Paul Chambers, on the other hand.

I've read on the Swans board that Craig Bird would be overs for Walker. :D

In all seriousness, I really hope Walker means it, and can't wait for him to kick a bag on Davis.

Never heard him say this. Did hear him declare he loved the club but never heard him in a direct quote say he wants to stay.

Good to hear i have never been comfortable with young stars changing clubs when teams are desperate to keep them even when the team reported to be interested is my own.

Next year we (Sydney) will have the same rumours thrown around about our players who's contracts expire at the end of the year as it looks like none will defect this year but you never know.

Tex is a natural footballer. It flows with him. You let him play, and he'll play.

Kurt is awesome, but he is not a natural like Taylor.

Top bloke as well. I spent a lot of time in Broken Hill growing up and played a bit of footy with him. Was always a gun.

Only need to watch the effect he has on the side when actually in the side. GREAT NEWS! But until the ink is dry there is that nagging doubt. Just hope we can get a decent forward coach next year who actually knows about forwards.

It's great to have some good news for once, along with the news of Leigh Matthews, and to a lesser extent the renewal of the Toyota sponsorship, what started as a bad week has gotten a whole lot better.
